I assume it's more than beats they want.

Something that's been bugging me for ages is that artist's albums are now in BACKWARDS chronological order since the most recent update a couple of months ago. And it still hasn't been fixed. I mean, really? I don't really want to spend a few seconds on my phone whilst driving to scroll down and stop it from replaying the album I heard before this one. This error could be causing death by dangerous driving, Apple. I hope you're happy.

Signs have gone up at the Moscone Center in San Francisco for Apple's WWDC and it shows the iOS 8 logo.

I'm looking for an iPhone app to keep my brain functioning - something like Brain Training on DS, with short maths, logic and literacy puzzles that I can play for a few minutes whilst on the bog. Any recommendations? I don't mind paying a bit for the privilege either, especially if it means having access to stats and progress tracking.

Chaps, my iPhone seems to be running a bit sluggishly.

I've deleted apps/photos I don't need, but I don't really have a great deal on there anyway. It's a work phone which I'm reluctant to mess with too much, as loads of contacts/security stuff would need to be re-installed.

I've deleted temp internet files and such, but I'm wondering if the phone saves other bullshit like stuff from apps, images from web pages visited (other than stuff that would get removed from temp internet files), etc etc that's somehow being stored somewhere. Does it save that? Can I get rid of it or otherwise improve things?

Can't think of what else it could be. Storage says 10.5GB available, 2.7GB used. It's an iPhone 5, iOs 7.1.2.

I think it's a difficult one. I honestly don't think the phones become slower by adding more apps or taking up more storage. Is it an older 4S running newer software?

From time to time I do a hard reset (turn off/turn back on) might seem simple, but my older iPhone 4 would get sluggish unless I did this.

My iPhone 5 3G connection has been terrible for a while now. It can have 3 out of 5 bars of reception yet just browsing here can cause the page to stick and take up to 30 seconds to update and load a page.

The general poor quality of ios7 across my phone and iPad has really got me thinking of moving away to another device rather than an iPhone 6 whenever that comes out. For example my iPad was on charge overnight so I opened the Smart Cover this morning and it was frozen on the lock screen  ahead to hard reset it to fix it.

The sleep/wake button has started being a bit dodgy on my iPhone 5, it only work when you press on the edge of the left side of it. Apparently some models produced up to March 2013 have this problem so I'm getting it fixed for free. Still no Apple store within acceptable distance to me so I'm having to send it in for repairs.

Gonna have to borrow or buy a cheap phone in the meantime.

To add to this, my iPhone 5 effectively died this morning while trying to apply a 23mb update. All seemed well and then it just showed a connect to iTunes picture, which after a bit of research says it's a recovery mode. My iTunes account is on the imac at home, so I've spent the day with no phone whatsoever (not good during the working week) and now I've got it home it says it needs to download a massive update before applying and wiping the phone.

Ducking iPhone gooseberry fool, had nothing but trouble with it since ios7, really want a better non apple alternative soon.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Really impressed with Apple customer services. Phoned up to arrange a repair and the box with the UPS labels for pickup arrived within 24 hours. Sent it away this morning and should hopefully have it back sometime next week. Apparently I could have got a discounted 5s instead but I'm not really arsed about that. Meanwhile I have this horrible HTC Desire Z that's laggy beyond belief when you try to do, well, anything really. Was going to put a custom ROM on it but the process is ridiculous compared to something like jailbreaking or even doing the equivalent when I had a Galaxy Nexus.

Android L looks excellent. Even 4.4.2 is largely great.

The only thing I find tempting about an iPhone in the slightest is the make/receive calls from your Mac in Yosemite, and the existing iMessage cross platform functionality. Even then, most of my messaging is done via WhatsApp so its use would be limited.

Just got an iPhone 4 from my mate who's upgraded his. It's out of contract but locked to tmobile and I'm on Vodafone. Is it possible to unlock it myself via jailbraking or some other method, or do I have to pay for an unlocking service?

If the contract has finished, call tmobile to unlock it.

This. You don't have to pay for unlocking if you're past the minimum contract period.

Really impressed with Apple's repair process. Sent the phone to their repair centre in Holland on Tuesday, it arrived the next day, repaired on Thursday and it's been sent back to me already. Should hopefully have it back on Tuesday.

I had coke every so slightly seep into the bottom of my iphone 5 and it stopped charging. Had to pay €180(which company paid for) but got a brand new phone within a week. What do they do to the water ruined one I sent them?
