Superb, thanks for posting that.

The F1, every time I see it I fall in love all over again. I think it's the most beautiful super car ever made, just stunning  I got to sit in a GT version when I was 18 and the McLaren guy told me off for getting in wrong :fp:

I don't know why but the P1 just leaves me cold. I mean I know it's an incredible car, but it just looks hideous.

I met one of the chaps who writes for some car website recently, the day before McLaren flew him out for the New York Motorshow.

McLaren drop those bloody things off at his house for him to drive for a bit, so I'm a bit confused as to why it was so hard for them to get their hands on them.

Do any of you guys ever have your engine flushed? Is there any point to it. A lot of people say it can be more damaging to your car than good. many sites suggest that if it's regularly serviced then it's not needed. But I havent changed the oil in my wife's fiesta for two years so was wondering if I should have it flushed as well. It an 06 1.4 petrol.

Changing the oil is an obvious standard service item, change it. A 'flush' usually implies a chemical cleaning of bores, intakes, exhaust etc. YMMV on whether its worth it. On a 1.4 Fiesta, probably not.

I've always thought a flush just meant a change of oil/coolant, get it up to temp then change again.

Whether you use cheap oil/special products is up to you.

It's happening! :o

Just paid a further £2k deposit for the car (BMW has been inspected and they are happy to use it as part exchange). Few things need to be done to the car before I pick it up, but in less than 3 weeks should have XXX :datass:

Gonna take an A5 for a test drive this week in my search for a new car. I hear they're not as good a drive as the 3 or 4 series BMWs but I have to say they do look nice.

I've heard that if you put 2 A5s next to each other, you get an A4.

I think the A4 looks incredibly boring. When I was a kid, my dad had an Audi 80 and in my mind the A4 reminds me of it.

Are you buying a new one or 2nd hand? Before I bought my BMW I was considering an A5 but in the end decided not to get one because we already had another Audi (an A6) and wanted something different. A neighbour bought a new A5 and after looking at it a few times I felt the looks were dated, and glad I got the 3 series coupe instead.

I suggest you give it a test drive. The A6 is absolutely lovely to drive and has a really nice cabin so I would imagine a fairly high spec A5 could be similar. I guess it comes down to what you are looking for. You may think the A5 looks great, but most of the time you will be inside so looks are really for the benefit (or envy) of others.
