Five left.

How did he do?

He came 3rd, around a $660 payout I think.

Excellent, well done Rex :D

Well done Rex!

I made thirty dollars on Omaha last night, roll is now on 1O5 dollars. Will do that again, it was extremely easy, so many weak guys in them.

Yeah sorry I didn't post I had to sleep. My PGCE started today. In a break atm whilst noobsticks have a tour of campus but since I graduated here I refused and just headed to the library.

I ran so sick good last night. Totally makes up for the other donkaments. I will try and recall as much as I can.

Early on I won some chips somehow. Not really sure. I know I doubled but no idea how. So was on 3k. Fish on my right managed to get to 5k somehow without me watching since I was playing other things and I just cannot put down The Lost Symbol atm! Maybe Aaron can remember but I got a nice stack somehow.

Then I get AA. Someone open lol shoves for 1k. Fish to my right flats! I was like lelpops at this point and min raised. I know the guy was a fish from watching a fair few hands and him calling people down with nothing. Fish calls min raise as expected and I only have 1k left. Effectively AI obv. Flop comes 842 or something like that. Fish checks. I shove for my 1k. He calls with AT. I lol and double + 1k to 7k. Went down a big then playing KK vs the same guy. He had A7 and hit the ace but since he was terrible he won like nothing. From here I got moved table loads of times. I loved having the fish on my right who managed to build his stack again to cover me! Sadly I never saw him again.

Next important hand was JJ. Can't remember stack sizes etc but I raised pre. He calls in position. All I know is the pot is quite big at this point. I THINK maybe 2k. Flop comes T high no real draws. I'd seen the guy bet behind twice so I opted for check raise. Sure enough he bets 1.5k? Might be 1k. I raise to like 4k? He shoves. I call the extra 1.5k or whatever it is. He has 55. Ty. Double up. Now on like 16k or something lovely and in 4th overall.

From here I think I had a fairly dry spell. I actually got some great hands, AA again, QQ but didn't get much out of them. I slowly drifted down the field (started with 333, 40 paid). I think I was roughly 20th out of 80 at one point. I didn't really change as we got to the bubble and after making the cash I was about the middle of the field in terms of stack. For some reason from here until the final two tables seems like a bit of a blank for me. I cannot recall too much. I know I got up to 20k somehow. Maybe some small pots with shortstacks. I also remember having a gamble with 99 vs KK which I lost and cost me about half my stack. Blinds got big and I remember being at 8k with 32 left in, I was maybe 30th. I was thinking about the next prize jump, top 30 got some extra moneys and was expecting to go out soon obviously. Then a sweet hand happened.

Honkhonkuradonk was on my left. I was OTB with 63. Blinds are like 600/1200 AND there is an ante. I pop in my stack and he calls with A3. Flop comes XX7? All I know is we were like FFS then Aaron goes 54, 54, 54. Sure enough the turn was a 5, then the river.....was a 4. Ty for double. I got called a donk and moved on. I managed to backdoor another straight but I cannot remember fo the life of me what it was. OH and whilst I remember earlier on someone raised to 600, I flatted with KK knowing the big stack after me hand been making some crazy moves. This is when I had like 12k or so earlier on. And the big stack shoved with AJs lol.

Anyway. Another backdoor and something else later and suddently I'm on 40k and there are two tables left. We watch both trying to get info. We also see lots of people fly out. The blinds are so high there is little room for play. We do steal a few times but eventually the final table comes!

We sit back and watch for a big getting nothing hands apart from the AK I got like first hand which I took down for a 10k pot pre. More people go out and at about 6-7 handed I have a great feel about how the other players play. One guy is so tight and obivous with his plays. He shoves AJ+, TT+ and min raises A7-AT. We get in on the shoving game now as does everyone making use of position mostly. I think I get AI somewhere and win but was ahead anyway, think it was a flip with 88 or something. Really don't recall right now! More and more go out and we are second out of 5 just by stealing. The other stacks knock two more out though and I find myself 3/3 at three handed. We get 82 in the BB. Big stack limps. Flop 866. I have 80k. Check raise the flop. His min bet of 10k. I make it 40k. Despite this he calls with T2 and a flush draw and hits. Game over. Six hundo or soemthing. Pretty pleased. Means I have £500 to play about with no on ipoker and not £150. Also cashed in the stars 4.40 for min cash, was staked by Sykes. Sorry for not paying much attention to it, obv ipoker was looking good but you got $6 back or so, so it wasn't toooooo bad.

Means last 3 tourneys I have played in I have cashed. Move over run good gaz! (Might play some more cash tonight).

Also donkaha has mega variance. Try playing it HU for the lol of a lifetime. I don't want to take anything away from you DML but playing that game shorthanded with 13 buyins seems like a great way to go bust IMO. If you play a niut and only call rivers bets with the nuts then ok, but it means you are missing lots of +EV spots and Omaha is very much a "flop" game. You can expect to be ballin lots @ the flop/turn.

Also can I get my cash on the first page if I get the exact payout tonight? Can't atm, on a uni machine.

Perhaps we can also have what they were in?

:?

Your concerns are unfounded Rex for once, my Omaha game has become quite good. Its not all about just calling the nuts but thats how it went last night. Currently sitting at another doubleed stack.

Make a video. I'd hardly say unfounded. You are playing a high variance game with 13 buyins.

You are right, but with the guys this weak, it becomes a much better idea. These guys just dont know how to Omaha.

EDIT - I'll convert you Rex by winning the Omaha GR event.

Well the thing is where do I draw the line? Until now I've only been listing tournament wins or deep finishes netting $500 or more. If I had finished second for that amount I wouldn't have included it, and you'll notice I haven't included my own second place in a 180-man ($144), or those of Sykes, Satriales or Nova etc. I will include any MTT win with 90 or more entrants but when it comes to seconds, thirds, fourths etc I feel to get on there they should be for a greater deal of cash, like Sat's 7th for $1.1k a few weeks ago.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.
