Good news!

Satriales, in the Wipeout topic wrote:First it was just my lack of internet that prevented me from playing. My mate was setting it up because he is with O2 and gets it cheaper but after waiting a couple of weeks for them to deliver the router I found out that he accidently gave them the wrong address so it's not going to be sorted for a while yet :fp:

In desperation I decided to hack the WEP security on my new neighbours wifi. So I've got internet now

Of the 3 wireless connections that I can detect I only managed to get the WEP key for the weakest one so I probably won't play anything that takes too long as I get a fairly weak signal, and also I don't want to play for 3hrs and then find out that they turn their router off at night or something.

I just won a $5 90 man tournament for $123.98! :D

Went into the FT with only 10k in chips, although I started 4/9 as for some reason a couple of larger stacks decided to stack off even though they were still relatively deep right before, so we ended up with five people just over 10k, and one guy who's stack had ballooned as a result. Here's the FT starting stacks:

Seat 1: Nimrod98 (1846 in chips)
Seat 2: Proper Zing (12840 in chips)
Seat 3: Lori and co. (11437 in chips)
Seat 4: tify29 (11555 in chips)
Seat 5: bigreen08 (11485 in chips)
Seat 6: SanMiguel22 (17786 in chips)
Seat 7: tontonsky (77893 in chips)
Seat 8: kebab987 (11221 in chips)
Seat 9: vida7769 (23937 in chips)

Generally the table was pretty tight except for the big stack who was trying to bully in the early stages, and it seemed every time one of the 10k stacks pushed all in against his raises, he'd call with a significantly weaker hand and suck out. One guy survived on 4-6k for a long time until the same happened to him. It got a little annoying because he was only pushing real quality hands and every time he was called (except one time where his AT beat KK) he had by far the better hand. Still, his luck didn't hold out for ever.

We got to four handed and I had a real chip disadvantage. 21k (me), 38k, 32k and 89k. Still we were relatively deep still with 25-30 big blinds and I stayed patient. Around this period was Sykes's favourite hand:

After that we had a break and I got a little short. I got all in pre with AJ and got lucky when the board counterfeited his queen kicker, and then chipped up with this:

I entered HU as a slight chip leader. I was able to grind him down pretty quickly, he seemed to fold a lot even when calling my pre-flop raises, and I hit bottom pair a few times but otherwise had air mostly. Then he got a little tired of my bullying and pushed all in pre-flop when I had 55 which I decided to fold, there would be better spots to come for sure. And a couple of hands later, surely enough, one presented itself.

Not me but I bet the Zinger is.

@ Tourney post. Said you knocked him out with the 66 boat but he has you covered? Pretty sure tontonsky knocked sanmiguel out?

Great work though. I'd have played quite a lot of it differently but you won I guess and have a better record than me :P

Get it in first post!

Also all sign up for ipoker rakeback before you can't anymore! No reason not to tbh, even if you don't play there for years. Secure it whilst you can.

I'm not having any fun playing this game. I keep losing and I don't know why. I'll play the 4.40 with you guys tommorow and then consider if I actually enjoy this stupid thing anymore.

EDIT: Turns out I do, lol. Despite that 66 hand. :fp:

Yeah, so as I said, you're an idiot, but a good player and easily good enough to beat the majority playing at the $5 level. Don't ever doubt that.

Some great poker was played this weekend by most of us. :D
