I do like Robocop, don't get me wrong, but I do think that it has some obvious flaws - there's a fair amount of poor acting, some of its special effects don't hold up very well today and it's a bit heavy-handed (though I suppose that's to be expected from Verhoeven).

The best film he's made in America, no doubt. I do quite enjoy Basic Instinct, too.


It's a shame that people largely forget about the truly amazing films he's made, instead I fear his legacy is going to be that of creator of schlocky fun.

Brilliant film, I'll be marking it down as a 10/10.

I'm going watching that for a third time tomorrow. :lol: In 3D though this time.
I actually think the film improves on the book a fair bit too, not to say the book is poor as a result. Just the pacing of the plot in the book wouldn't have worked in the film.

Sweeney Todd - 6/10

It would get either one or two rates higher if it wasn't too much of musical songs in the film, but everything else were very good though. I liked the style of the film and it was pretty erm... good like artistic.

You're damn right about Lost In Translation, it's amazingly tedious. Haven't seen Vicki Cristina Barcelona and quite frankly don't want to. You can piss off with the other three though, they're superlative.

The Incredible Hulk (2008) - 7/10

The fight scenes were ace, everything else, not so much. Ed Norton is great.

Drag Me to Hell.

Truly terrible movie, in fact it's probably the worst movie I've have seen this year so far.

Tries far too hard to be too many genres, it's comedy then it's horror then it's suspense/thriller & fails at all of them.

Most of the comedy scenes were awful & felt completely out of place, the horror was very predictable & dumbed down & the suspense scenes were Christine is being harassed by the demon were just awful.

And PG rated Horror movies are an affront to the horror genre. :|

Was the cameo at the end in relation to the bitafterthecredits in Ironman? I've forgotten what the title of the group is.
