Week 3: Satriales impresses on debut

Image

Awesome week for Satriales who did really well. He was quite unlucky not to beat me on the table where it was just left to the two of us. With similar sized stacks I raised, he went all in and I called. His 99 didn't hold up against my QJ but nevertheless, he did very well.

I also could have won Match 4, but Rex's KK held up against my JJ when we got it all in pre-flop.

GG ALL!

Edit: You bastard. I usually do the results! :(

Just a heads-up (pun intended) that Zattoo shows the poker channel. The program is legal and legit. All above board. You get the usual terrestrial channels and a few specialist channels and the poker channel is one of them. Handy if you're bored and want something to watch.

If I had beaten you on the last table I would have won overall.

Very true. As I said I thought you played very well, player of the week for sure.

FAO: Anyone who uses PokerStars - How would you all feel about playing in a $2 90-man Tournament at some point? I figure if we can get four or five runners from here at least one of us should make the later stages if not more. From memory we have:

- Satriales
- Nova
- Rex
- Slayer
- Sykes
- Myself

Anyone interested?

That's quite unfortunate. I would have checked the river or put them all in on the turn without allowing them to draw at a discounted price. Of course if you do check the river he is going to bet and you have to think if you can fold your kings after putting so much into the pot.

You didn't play it badly by any means, but I prefer to bet more on the flop. The pot is 820 and your stack is 2680, his is 2515. On a draw heavy board like this, I like to try and get the money quickly. If you bet just a little more, say 600 and he calls, the pot on the turn would be 2020 while both your stacks would be slightly less than pot sized. This allows you to shove for value and let's him put the rest of his money in behind.

Oh and it doesn't matter whether you hit the 50/50's or not, as long as you get your money in good most the time. If it bothers you to lose a race, minimize the window when you call or are called and wait a few seconds for the hand to finish.

I can't find you on Full Tilt, it says you are registered for one in 9 days and that's it.

<Edit> Ah, that would be why then, sorry
