I think it's pretty telling how a fair amount of people bar a couple of participants seemed really up for this task, then suddenly when they did badly, a bunch of people turned on it. Sucks to be DML when he does a good job and then people turn on him for their own gain.

You can say the same for the people that went through. A good number want the task to continue purely because they have advanced to the next round without considering how such a luck based task affects the integrity of the contest, which is paramount. There were, however, a good few players that advanced who recognised this.

People haven't turned on DML. We all recognise and appreciate the sheer amount of time he puts into planning this contest, trying to plan for every eventuality. However, at the same time, he wants us to give our all to make this contest the best it can possibly be, and part of that is pointing out any flaws that exist which threaten to undermine the competition.

I feel that it's worth pointing out that several of the people who went through also voted for the task to be scrapped when it wasn't in their best interests, including a couple of members of #TeamMysterio.

It wasn't targeted at you specifically Cora. I know that people like Zeni and Proto were objecting straight from the off, so fair enough- but it seems to me only 3 or 4 people had concerns during the tasks...but suddenly when the results came in the large majority were suddenly voting for scrapping it- surely if people had that much of a problem with it, they'd of said before the results came in, right?

And I know I can be accused of bias, but if you look back, I was really enthusiastic for the task and liked it straight from the start.

TASK 3.1 - 'WOULD I LIE TO MEW?'



Gamers love to sniff out a gaming story, delve and find the truth and rumours in the latest goings on in the industry. It is that inquisitive spirit that will help you in this task which will help you get to know each other a lot better!

In this challenge, contestants will either be telling the truth, or be defending a horrible dirty LIE.

All players must by 11pm today PM me with a TRUE gaming related fact about themselves. This should start with the words 'I once...' or something along those lines. This should be a genuinelly interesting fact that you don't think anyone on GR knows - and I cannot stress how much this fact MUST be true. (Failure to submit one will see the contestant score zero points)

For instance if it was me I could put...

'I once games-tested for Virtua Fighter 4 in the arcade - and that testing lead to the inclusion of Vanessa'.


This is an absolutely TRUE fact.



I will then publish some of these in the thread next to each contestants name. However, not all of you will recieve the truth you originally gave me. I will pull 12 names out of a hat, and those players will instead recieve a totally fabricated lie that I have made up instead! The first thing you will know of these lies is when they are published in the thread. It is then up to you to convince the other players this is indeed true!

Players should not share their truths or lies with team-mates, or at least refrain from doing so - but you will not be guessing on your teams efforts. You will have to guess whether the 18 other players are telling the truth or a lie.

This must be PMed to myself by 9.30pm on Saturday once the truths and lies are in the thread!

You will get 1 mark for each correct guess, and you will score 2 bonus points if you convince more then HALF the guessing players that your LIE is in fact the TRUTH OR you actual TRUTH is a LIE.

Once these marks have been totalled these will be filtered into the 1pt--->24pt scale as normal. I stress that although you may use teamwork to try sniff out the truth or deception in other contestants, the final decision is that of you the individual to decide what you think!

The player with the HIGHEST score in this round will become the 12th MAN!

Sneakiness and bluffing are the name of the game!

All decisions by myself the judge are FINAL!
