GRcade's Best TV Series Ever - VOTING OVER - LOCK IT UP

What is the best TV series ever according to GRcade? Last time around Lost won that distinction, leaving South Park and The Simpsons to take 2nd and 3rd spots. Those results can be found here at GRRedux.

But a lot can change in a year. Will Heroes remain in the top ten? Will The Wire get more recognition now it's started to air on BBC2?

PM me your top ten shows that you believe are the best ever by 11:00pm Wednesday 20th May in order of preference, the first show will gain the most points and so on.

You can post your lists in the thread to generate discussion but please PM them first, so I can collect them easier.

All television series from any country are eligible, no matter when or where they aired.

The points system will go as follows:

1st) 10 points
2nd) 9 points
3rd) 8 points
4th) 7 points
5th) 6 points
6th) 5 points
7th) 4 points
8th) 3 points
9th) 2 points
10th) 1 point

Simple enough. Placing will be allocated by:

-Total points, then
-Total number of votes, then
-Highest number of tier votes

Which means if three series receive say, 12 points each and:

Show A receives - Two 1st place votes and one fourth place vote
Show B receives - Two 2nd place votes, one fourth place vote, and one second place vote
Show C receives - Three 3rd place votes

Then the placing goes Show B, Show A, Show C.

I've only really watched six TV series' this year, and one of them was Heroes so I think I've got my top five sorted. :lol:

I'm way more of a film guy than I am TV, but needless to say, The Wire is going to get all my points for being the best thing ever made.

Surely if they're fogotten about, that should disqualify them. People don't forget their favourite shows.

Last time I hadn't seen The Wire, Sopranos, Dexter or Weeds. God knows what gooseberry fool I voted for instead.

I think we should restrict it to last seasons shows only. Then we could do it every year.
