I didn't vote. I was going to register but it meant printing off a form and I don't have a printer, so I missed the deadline.

Not voting either. Missed the postal vote deadline, and I have 2 finals tomorrow and on Saturday so have absolutely zero time to spare to walk to a polling station

Sounds like a bit of an excuse. Your polling station should be open 7am till 10pm. Fresh air is good for refreshing your head, why not go after your 2nd final to clear your head before revising for the saturday final.

I'm hoping the 8 that have voted have done so because they chose postal...

...& not just because they're pricks.

I have 2 more on Saturday, so need all the available time I have to revise for them. The walk to the polling station is 2 1/2 miles which, there and back, is a total of an hour. Degree > Politics

I still honestly don't know, I'll more than likely vote Conservatives but all of the parties are strawberry floating clueless banana splits.

My mum will be voting for me as a proxy voter (I too missed the postal vote deadline due to finishing my dissertation, but I'm not a lazy scrote so sorted the proxy :P ) and will be voting Liberal Democrat for me.

I'm going to read up on who to tactically vote for, and vote for whoever that may be.

Will be voting Conservatives for both Borough Council and Parliamentary election. (Bet no-one saw that coming). Voted in the poll already because I know who I'm voting for.

I've never actually voted before

I assume I just need to go to my local voting station with my polling card, right?

You don't need the card, but it makes it quicker for them to check your name/address etc. But yeah, essentially that's it.

Funny thing is, I'm more than likely going to do the same. The Conservative leader for my council is literally the only one with any policies and the dick labour MP we've had for the past 10 years has been utter shite and everything in the area has just got worse.

All the local MPs round here literally just spout the same stuff.

"We'll put local residents first!"

"We'll invest in the seafront and pier!"

Erm..anything to distinguish you from the other parties?

Thanks Lotus.

Will there be a a list of the local parties main policies at the Voting Stations?

I'm fairly ignorant when it comes to my local parties, but know what I want to hear (Keeping the QE2 hospital open, and following through of the planned rejuvenation of the town centre)

I don't recall one at the European/Local elections, but you might see the candidates (or more likely representatives for them) mulling around. Then again, you've the entire interspweb at your disposal now...
