Kanye West is a Tremendous Douche

Never one to shy away from telling the world how great he is, Kanye took his world-renowned egotism to an entirely different level at tonight's VMAs..and it was ugly. Really ugly.

Faced with the apparently unforgiveable slight of seeing Beyoncé lose out to Taylor Swift in the Best Female Video category, the anointed one stepped to the front of the stage to show off his utter classlessness to an entire nation:

Unbelievable. Though Kanye's pulled this kind of crap before, this is arguably the most high profile showing of his, well, utter inability to tolerate any affront to what he deems "correct."

Back in the real world, the fans have spoken. Loudly. Not only did the crowd at the VMAs end up cheering Swift loudly (and booing the hell out of Kanye), the social networking site Twitter is completely blowing up with nearly everyone slamming the pompous star for his childish antics. Even fellow celebrities are weighing in, with the likes of Katy Perry saying, "F*** U KANYE. IT'S LIKE U STEPPED 0N A KITTEN." Ouch.

The rest of the fallout has been swift and decisive. Kanye's previously scheduled performance at the VMAs has reportedly been canceled, and it's safe to say we probably won't be seeing him onstage for the rest of the evening.

Should Beyoncé have won? Maybe so, but it's pretty clear that Kanye should've kept his fool mouth shut. What do you think?
