About a year ago I started some medication to help with a minor health condition. These tablets worked perfectly and have had absolutely no side effects..........apart from one. Ever since I started taking them I have been having extremely vivid dreams. They are so vivid that I can even recall the tiniest details. For example, one of the dreams seemed to be set during my childhood and everything was so accurately recreated including the feel of the weather, sunny summer days with a nice cooling breeze, the smell of freshly cut grass etc.

I can't say this is in anyway a bad thing. I actually really enjoy it and look forward to going to sleep to see where I end up next. These dreams happen so frequently that it is almost every night now. I have even started writing a diary about them, as some of the stuff I dream would be incredibly good material for a novel, you simply couldn't make some of the stuff up! On the rare occasion these dreams turn into nightmares, but even these are very cool to experience as it is like being in an extremely good horror movie. I have had lots of these where I find mutilated bodies in my house, or a tear out my own teeth or eat bugs or something. I had one the other week where I witnessed somebody get run over on a road by my house, and all the roads were shut off as it as a mess of mangled bodies and cars.

What is strange is that these dreams are not usually that surreal. They are normally incredibly realistic and the world seems almost identical but with a few slight changes like, for example, my house is always the same but is in a slightly different position in our road. Or my place of work looks the same from the road but when you enter the site there are loads more buildings and hidden places but all quite realistic.

So I thought I would start a thread where I can post up my diary of these, and also find out about some of your recent dreams. So what has been going on in your heads? Oh and let's not get too pornographic!

I'd be interested in hearing more about your dreams. I recall having a string of vivid dreams where my mate always ended up getting killed and posting them in TCRT.

The best kind of dream is where your mind creates the perfect girl, and you just spend time close with them. Nothing dirty. But then you wake up and are like... NOOO COME BACK.

A few weeks ago I had a dream which was a cross between Fallout 3 and The Wire, which was fun. I actually had a sequel to that yesterday which was a cross between The Wire and Ghostbusters. Basically all of the Baltimore police were ghostbusters and The Marshmallow Man's ghost was possessing people.

I had a dream last night where I was poisoned with something and I could feel myself slowly suffocate. :(

Not fun.

I had a dream that Ghostbusters 3 was out but Dan Aykroyd was replaced with John Goodman, and Goodman just spent the entire movie eating hamburgers. Some kid ended up getting decapitated by a ceiling fan and then the movie ended. I don't think there were any ghosts or busting of any kind.

I think I also had a Ghostbusters related dream a few days before the game was released. Don't remember much, just ghosts being quite scary.

I don't usually remember dreams but last night I had two. One I was being chased around dark streets by a strawberry floating great panther and the other my best mate turned up at my door crying uncontrollably :( I don't want to remember that stuff

I used to have amazing dreams but I've not had that many since my dreams started taunting me.

One of the ones I remember is of a girl I used to know. She confided in me and told me that she was a serial killer and had beheaded people. I remember how I shaken I was. I had no idea how to respond to her.

Have you ever had this:

You are having a nightmare. So terrible that you willed yourself to wake up, as if you know that you are in a dream.

You awake, bathed in cold sweat.

Then you awake for real.

Properly freaked me out sometimes. :(

I'll post up part of my dream diary tonight then, it is an interesting read! Hulohot I actually had a dream with the perfect gal the other night! I'll post up details later!

Memento, speaking of the Marshmallow Man, I have had recurring dreams over a number of years (since I was really young) where he is following me and I hide in my house and can see his angry face as he peers in through the windows. I haven't had one of those in ages but whenever I get one it feels strangely reassuring like I am happy that the guy still has an effect on me!

The most bizarre dream I have had is where I walked into some public toilets and came across some big grey dogs (like Dobermen) stood on their hind legs having a wee at the urinal.

The last really vivid dream I had involved watching the pilot for an utterly surreal new ITV series. It goes as follows.

Excuse' Moi!

Desperate to leave Baltimore behind, homeless junkie Bubbles (Andre Royo) leaves the land of The Wire and sets sail for merry old England! Upon reaching his new home, he meets the co-incidently named Jimmy McNulty (Robert Webb)- not to be confused with the other Jimmy McNulty-, a junior detective. The two bond quickly, and hook up with McNulty's partner, Life on Mars's, DS Ray Carling, who is searching for his lost love.

The three form a crime busting trio, with each mystery somehow revolving around finding Ray's lost love. They are both helped and hindered by their unnamed boss (Dave Benson Philips) whose personality randomly alternates between that of a ball busting police boss, and a small child.

The entire thing is interspersed with clips from David Attenborough's The Blue Planet, which reflect the narrative.

I woke up completely at a loss for words.

That show has just earned a Sky+ series recording.

I used to get these bad dreams (almost hallucinations) when I was younger. I'd wake up & it's like the dream was still carrying on. It's quite indescribable.

I wouldn't be surprised if certain drug use is quite similar.
