That's the 1997/98 alt, no? Macca got that goal against Arsenal in it. They made up for it when Adidas came in and did a beautiful makeover on it a couple of years back.

I think it was 97. They should've kept on the beige kit for another year. I loved it

What is so funny about it guys? I'm obviously missing something here. It is not a stunner, of course, but it's hardly an insult to the eyes. It is a clean and fairly inoffensive away strip.

The colours are quite bad but the worst part is that it is an identical design to the home shirt. Seriously though, you would have thought that a club like Newcastle deserves at least some effort on their kits. I don't even think League Two has clubs with matching home and away designs.

That one wasn't the bad one. That ones ok I thought. This is the disgrace:

Apparently, I think it's the one with the black V shape on the front and you actually can see if you look at the picture closely.

We wore it as an alternative against Arsenal that year, but 98/99 was the pure white with red on top of the arms, I know because it was my first one to buy
