I think it would be more important to show GRc in a good light rather than win. Although winning is good! When I said best of the best, I meant the friendliest

There is always the Rock Band Tournament :shifty: That one might be harder to organise

Yeah, just a bit :(

One of my friends is incredible on Halo (It's literally the only thing he plays). I might try and get him to sign up here if you really need good players.

I'm interested and I'm sure some of the other RF! members would be too. Just don't make any games on a Friday or Saturday evening/night, I should be able to make most other nights (Halo Tuesday suits me).

I assume this is going to be teams of 4 or 5 each?

I have no idea  I gave my copy away to my brother so haven't checked out what is what online. But something like that yes.

It will probably be in the middle of the working week sometime too as I imagine that's best for most people.

In. Though if the other forums are paying for mercenaries I can't guarantee my loyalty. :shifty:

Fake edit: Maybe get this moved to GGC, no one looks in here.

I'll probably post another link in the Reach topic after it's calmed down a bit. I did a few days ago but that topic moves at 100 pages a minute.

My friend has said that he'll sign up, he just doesn't know how to :shifty: I'll point him in the right direction, though.

Until then, you can admire his stats: http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Halo3/Default.aspx?player=Jabowoki&sg=0

Disclaimer: I don't actually know how good or otherwise he is. All I know is that he's better than me, which doesn't take much

Match #1
GRcade vs HotUKDeals (http://www.hotukdeals.com/)
Date: 30th September 2010
Time: 21:00 GMT (Match starts at 21:30GMT)
Type: Team Match 8v8

The team will need 10 players:
- 1 of which will be team captain.
- 1 of which will be vice captain.
- 2 substitutes, in case your team are short at the last minute.

Team captain will need to PRIVATE MESSAGE me the full squad (gamertags only. Marking both Captain and Vice Captain tags) by 12:00GMT on the 30th September 2010.

Team and Vice captains will recieve a reply via PRIVATE MESSAGE by 20:00GMT on the 30th September 2010 which will contain the gamertags of your oppositions Captain and Vice Captain, along with their full squad.

It will be up to the captains to vet all opposing tags. Anyone not listed in your PM from me should not be playing.

Game Settings:
Everything should be set to default, unless stated below:

Host: To be decided between the Captains from both teams beforehand.
Date: 30th September 2010
Time: 21:00 GMT (Match starts at 21:30GMT)
Gametime: Should be between 60-90 minutes (estimated - depending on loading times and how good each team is).
Type: Team Match 8v8

Gametype: One Flag CTF
Map: The Captain from each side will pick one map as their 'Home Map', resulting in 2x Maps to play.
Scores to Win: 1

One Flag CTF options: Default
Weapons and Vehicles: Default

General Settings:
Rounds: 4 (should end up being 2 rounds of defending, and 2 rounds of attacking for each team)
Time Limit: 10 Minutes
Sudden Death: Disabled

Respawn Settings:
Respawn Time: 15 Seconds
Suicide Penalty: None
Betrayal Penalty: None
Lives Per Round: Unlimited
Advanced Respawn Settings: Default

Team Changing: Not Allowed
Friendly Fire: Enabled
Betrayal Booting: Disabled

Flag Carrier Traits: Default
Cooldown Traits: Default

I think that covers everything! Any questions then please get back to me :)

Good question  something I forgot to mention.

Each team pick a home map, so a round on each of the two maps.
As for gametype I was thinking about starting on a simple default team vs team deathmatch, first team to X kills.

Originally I had planned a CTF game but I think it could get too complicated? I'm open to suggestions.

8v8 is a bit much. I guarantee the full 16 players won't turn up, taking into account subs. Plus it leaves less room for tactics etc, unless you're doing an objective game.

Halo is best in 4v4 imo, and it would be easier to organise and find players for.

What are the default CTF settings like?

There is a fair amount of interest from HUKD and I would imagine GRcade could get a team of 8-10 together. The other forums aren't showing much interest right now so maybe a 4v4 would be better in them instances.

I'm in!

I've not played with y'all that much, but I know you love me to bits so I don't mind being vice captain. :)
