Magazine, launched yesterday from Eurogamer and SkyJack Publishing for £2.99. It's aimed at kids and I picked it up for my Son yesterday and he loves it. Oh and our very own Chris Schilling was involved with this publication.

There are a few dads on this site, so pick this up and see what your kids think :)

It's an interesting choice of name, I'll give 'em that.

I always thought Future's PlayStation Max (priced at £1.99 for ages) with 'Max the Dog' was great, actually.

I wrote quite a few pages. The creators - Matt Yeo and Wayne Lamport - deserve all the credit, though. Worked their knackers off to get it made, I just helped out a bit.

What's brilliant about the mag is the little design touches - like the folios for each page number (on NSMB Wii it's got coins, for Lego Rock Band it's got Lego bricks). So yeah, if you're a parent with a kid aged 6-12, it's definitely worth picking up. Officially licensed Cartoon Network comics, too!

Btw, some exciting discussions about future content ongoing - Issue 2 should be immense!

It has a very Japanese feel to the mag too. I'm glad something like this exists so my son can enjoy it.

KK Playstation Max was awesome! Aimed at all ages from 5-16, the subtle jokes about Lara Crofts cleavage ... ahhh to live in 1999 again

Is it similar to Jetix Magazine?

Best kids mags are still the Beano & Dandy though.

Yep. Please don't let that put you off, though.

Japanese mags were actually part of the design inspiration. We wanted to make it like them, but not quite as busy.

It's a lot thicker than Jetix - minimum of 100 pages per issue, more when the comic content increases and advertisers get on board - and all gifts will be paper-based so it's not in a bag.

Finally HoC's games reviews will be read by the applicable age demographic.

Replying to the story about the press release on VG247, someone said "the only thing I usually have aimed at 6-12 year olds is MY PENIS". :fp:

The Observer is read by 6-12 year olds, too? Well I never.
