It's very tight between PS3 & the 360 - & the PS3 is still bloody expensive.

I'm stating the obvious, but the last few months of the year are going to see incredible numbers for the Wii & DS

The Wii and DS are selling enormous amounts so consistently.

Last few months this year should be huge for all involved.

True that but it had had the better of the releases inthe few months previous (MGS saw to that).

Be interesting to watch the next few months with the 360 getting some releases and a price cut.

One thing is for sure, it sells far too well to be the next Dreamcast as was predicted by many. So it's staying around and all us who purchased it can be happy (same if true of the PS3). Good gen for consumers this.

PS2 has done so well but i do think the decline is set in now for that one.

Wow only 10k between PS3 and 360  I think if it is this tight in the November NPD Microsoft should be a little worried. But I think Microsoft has much more quality titles in the run up to Christmas to have the PS3 anywhere near it.

The price cut in the US came too late to make a difference to this months NPD, next months is the one to watch.

If the 360 still only sells 10k more than the PS3, it's time for MS to start worrying.

How can you compare PC sales to a console, there are so many different types of PC and a small number brought are used for gaming. Besides, at the moment, PC gaming just seems to be all MMORPG and FPS.

Thank God this is the last NPD of the slow summer. Let's get into Autumn and the silly season to see where the PS3/360 battle is really going to go!

I think it'll be 360, apart from being cheaper it has the biggest game of the quarter in Gears 2. I don't think Resistance 2 will be enough for Ps3 to combat it.

There wasn't any!! There was a big argument on another forum about how the programmer said it was gonna be the best thing and another famous guy rolled his eyes and said yeah right and there was talk of a real life fight and then.... everyone cancelled their order!!

Yeah it has totally gone from the Zavvi in Cambridge and one of the Game stores has only preowned games. All the Tescos around me have also stopped stocking PSP.

I hate that in the new posh Lion Yard section of Cambridge city center there are no longer and game shops when there used to be two, it means I have to walk over to the Grafton Center :x
