Star Wars is just one of those things where your factually wrong if you don't like it. Empire for me.

My friend's girlfriend and her friends once stayed up all night and watched every Star Wars film in a row. And I've still not been introduced to these friends.

Empire Strikes Back, of course! It has a different tone from the other films, and some of those scenes are just fantastic.

Yeah, the whole Jar Jar thing was horrendous, but his inclusion was no worse than the Ewoks. Also, in terms of the film's general execution it felt a lot closer to the original trilogy than either Clones and Revenge - The fight scenes are pretty iconic and at least green screen wasn't over-used to the extent that the film was rendered out of date before it even reached DVD.

So, for me:

Empire > New Hope > Return > Phantom Menace > Revenge > Clones

You really really ought to, Episode III is all kinds of awesome. It's on a par with Jedi, which is the most likely answer I would give to my favourite Star Wars.

I'm going to be the odd one and say A New Hope. It's a shame I've never been able to see Empire without knowing the twist, which might've slightly lessened the impact of the film on me, but ANH just strikes me as a more enjoyable and memorable movie.

I did really like Phantom Menace at the time of its release, but I don't think I'm in a rush to go back to it now

That's why I wasn't so keen on the Phantom Menace. And the stupid annoying child actor. (It's not the actual childs fault though, I just see a child acting and automatically hate it)

I never even bothered to watch Revenge of the Sith as Attack of the Clones was one of the worst films I've ever had to sit through.
