I might hold off installing it till next week though, I'll be picking up a new 650 gig HD then.

There's something wrong with my Windows 7
I put the CD into the computer, went to iTunes, and selected the option to burn the CD to my iTunes library. This is what it said in the suspiciously hand-written manual that came with my package.
When the burning was finished, Bill Gates dressed as Agent Smith from The Matrix came up on screen, saying "It is inevitable". Then something uninstalled my iTunes, cancelled my macBook pre-order on Play.com...and where is my new iPhone?

Yeah that's what mine turned out to be. So that means 32bit and 64bit keys work for each other since you only get one code for both a 32bit version and a 63bit version.

So what are the major differences between the RC and this?
Will I have to do a clean install of Windows 7 when it arrives, or do I just activate it again since I'm currently running the RC?

The key difference is that the full release won't expire in a few months. I think you do need to do a full reinstall.

Do a completely fresh install and back up and files you want to keep, always the best way
Amazon haven't dispatched mine yet, I only ordered it about four months ago

I can't help but think that MS should have just let me order the code from them online at a discount, and then download the ISO from their website, bypassing all that pretty but completely useless packaging. Or maybe just supply a "trial" version of Windows that you can activate via Anytime.

That should definitely have been an option. But retailers just don't want anyone to bypass them unfortunately.

My copy of Home Premium arrived this morning from PC World, so much for "it will not be dispatched before Wednesday 21st"?
Quick question will I be able to use Virtual Windows XP on the home version of Windows 7? or should I have bought the Professional/Ultimate edition?

I was surprised by that too, they even said it wouldn't be sent out till Wednesday but then it ended up coming on Monday.
Even though I got it early I'm not all that impressed with the service. For a PC retailer their site shouldn't be so awful.
