I can't really see much difference over Vista - which I'm perfectly happy with (don't know what all the negative fuss was about).

It's less of a processor and memory hog, and the new taskbar is amazing.

Wha? I couldn't find the link to the professional edition, it just has a picture of the win7 pro saying upgrade for 30 quid. Wtf?

Pretty much BS. Less than 5% difference if that whenever I looked, not that Vista taking up 800MB of RAM was ever a problem.

I clicked the link I got sent after typing in my Uni email it came to a page that says "Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade".

Directly underneath that it says "Need to join your university’s network domain? You can also get Windows 7 Professional for £30.00 Click here" in bold.

strawberry float sake, they haven't even sent me a link to my uni email add. I entered my email and never got the URL. Tried to get them to resend the link but its not working for some reason.

Is it worth giving it a few weeks after the launch so that any issues can be ironed out, or is Windows 7 pretty much an ironed out version of Vista?

I have pre ordered 3 of these (Home Premium) from Amazon at £45 each, one is for me but do you think I'll still make a profit on the other two via eBay, or should I cancel them?

Posted in the student thread by mistake :fp: Just got my preorder from PCWorld. They said it wouldn't leave their warehouse till Wednesday so someone must be gettting a bollocking somewhere.

About to install now. Wish me luck.
