Every one of them is an instant classic and worthy of being in anybody's DVD? Blu Ray collection. It was tough but I chose Die Hard.

This is the worst poll I have ever seen. How am I supposed to choose between these movies?

In the end I went for Commando purely because if I had all of the DVDs in front of me now, that’s the one I would stick on first. But I think Die Hard is actually the best movie.

Went with Die Hard, It's got loads of great one liners, some good action and has some very good subtle humour.

I'm quite surprised to see how poorly Predator is faring, I'd take it over Commando every time.

Check out my YouTube channel!

Robocop is the best, it's got smarts and it's got action. The rest, whilst enjoyable, don't have the savage wit and biting satire, Robocop has.

Watch it now, it's scarily prophetic. From the faux news reports which are just like Fox news, to its story of big business taking over public services.

It's certainly got the smarts and the satire. But does it have the action? Point out to me the memorable action scenes from that film, and compare them to the action scenes in Die Hard. I would suggest to you that the ones in the latter are far more memorable and adrenaline pumping.

The shootout in the drugs factory.

Murphy being shot to pieces by the villains.

The bit where he shoots the guy in the balls.

Besides, if we're judging purely on action, Aliens has Die Hard licked.

The director's cut version had me almost feeling physically sick.

You see Murphy's hand blew apart when Clarence Broddicker shot it off with a shotgun. In the original, you don't see it "disappear" but in the DC version... It is very effective, as it made me feel even more sorry for Murphy.

I'm sure the original cut had the hand blow apart. Although, I can't be sure as I used to have it on pirate VHS. Did the uncut version, you saw, also show the bit where Clarence shoots Murphy's arm off too?

The extra extreme violence was only put back in when the Laserdisc version came about.

I don't remember clearly.

I was so shocked at the hand disgeneration bit that I can't remember the rest. But it did highlighted in the special features that the director put that footage back in - im not sure which part though. Will re-watch it tonight!

Even since, I was too young to watch Robocop on VHS so my viewing as a nipper was the cut-down version on ITV. The highlight was, of course, the voice dubbing - "Frig you, mother-crusher!"

EDIT: I may be wrong on this, but I don't think Clarence did blow his arm off. Cos I remember that slimy OCP employee said "Lose it all." when a doctor said that they are able to save the arm.

But you did see the extended version where Murphy's wringing and fits where the gang members shoot him up, clarence shooting him in the head is more graphical.

Oh well!

Ah well, it must be the ITV version I remembered.

In the Criterion version, his whole arm gets shot off.
