Both M&S and Sainsburys used to make a chicken and chorizo sandwich with pepper and chilli infused bread and they were easily the best supermarket sandwiches I’ve ever had.

M&S do a vegan substitute now, which is decent, but it isn’t the same.

Tesco used to do some truly excellent cheese stuffed pork & chorizo meatballs which they discontinued pretty much immediately after I discovered them.

Bastards.

Outside of own brand stuff I am in a permanent state of mourning at the state of cereal in this country. The likes of Start and Clusters are no more and instead we have to tolerate gooseberry fool meme cereal like crunchy nut cornflakes.

M&S Ragu Mac & Cheese. I'd always pop in to see if it was yellow stickered. My brother introduced me to it and after I'd bought it a couple of times, it disappeared. Absolutely gutted as it was gorgeous!

I used to buy these gigantic triangular Coronation Chicken sandwiches from Tesco when I was in 6th form(2007-09), there are of course similar things on offer in supermarkets now, but these giant triangular ones have never returned :(

Were these in a focaccia-type bread?

M&S did a loaf of bread called "toasting loaf". It was a bit like Jason's Sourdough but made even better toast.

I really miss that one.

That’s just a short version of their white farmhouse, is it not?

No, I don't think so. It was like a blend of sourdough and white. If you've ever tried the Jason's Sourdough brand it's similar but I think better. And it was cheaper too!
