McLaren don't have a rectangular aero piece on the side of their cars like the others do and they have a covered exhaust pipe whereas the others have theirs exposed.

Whoever wins the first race is going to be my tip for the title this year. I've had Jensen Button for the last 3 years so this tactic is a step up for me even if it's still a bit crap.

Awesome image(s) Roon, thanks. The McLaren seems to have a Jewish nose, whereas the Toyota has clearly been designed by the Jackson family's plastic surgeon.

The McLaren looks a lot more 'radical' than the other two as well.

I wonder how much the cars will change from now to the start (and end) of the season. Do they normally change much?

Edit: Sad to to see Ron go, but at least he went out after having a good year.

Thanks Sat.

gooseberry fool! Sorry. Thanks Satri.

Roon: I detract my thanks and replace it with a "strawberry float you" for deceiving me. ;)

Edit - is it just me that prefers last year's cars? I mean, the bodies on this year's cars look sleaker, but the rear spoilers and front wings look much worse.

Funnily enough, I'm the same as you. I thought the last year models looked better than the current ones, but I have to say I'm starting to get use to them though. :)

I'm sure they all will develop the aerodynamics much better during the season.

Sorry satriales

I prefer the look of this years cars. The front wings look really menacing, but the rear wings I'm not so fussed on.

I guess I love these cars more mainly because it is the first time in years that there has been a radical difference to the year before. I used to love it in the 90s when each year the cars would look very different at the start of the season. Mind you, back then the teams used to vary their colour schemes a bit more too.

The Mclaren and Ferrari look stunning. I'm tipping Williams to come up with a nice looking car too. They always seem to be the ones to try something totally radical.

No. Even if the team finds a buyer it will not be 'Honda'.

I love them because for the first time in ages, they have a look. They are distinct and eye-catching whereas recently they've just been knobbly and irritating. Much better now, much much better.

Compared to last year though...they don't look like ultra-advanced pieces of machinery from the future!

They just look like badass pieces of machinery from an alternate future.

Come the third race, we'll look back on 2008 etc. and think "they weren't so good looking afterall".

Kind of like when a football team changes their sponsor.

New Renault is a massive improvement and will be quite distinctive on the grid:

It seems to have that horrid flat sheet again behind the driver's head - it's touching the rear wing too. :|
