FYI, the upcoming Transformers game based on the movie has the Aerialbots, Protectobots and a host of other G1 characters that didn't make the film! Let's just hope the game is actually good.

I was reading about it yesterday, sounds quite good, although for some reason from what i read, it sounds like there is just one robot called aerialbot and another called protectobot. I'm not sure if the reviewer screwed up but that's what it said. Plus i think the G1 characters are unlockable and haven't been announced yet. Hopefully there will be some greats that look just like the originals and not makeovers.

Bay Leaves Transfomers?

With Transformers mania currently gripping the globe, we have some shocking news for fans of the franchise - Michael Bay has had enough.

According to a report on WENN.com (reported on IMDB), Bay feels that with forthcoming sequel Revenge of the Fallen, he has take the series as far as he can.

"After the three-and-a-half years I've spent making these movies, I feel like I've had enough of the Transformers world," he explained. "I need to do something totally divergent, something without any explosions."

And in a sly dig at journalists, Bay added. "It's easy to go shoot an art movie in a winery in the South of France. But people have no idea how hard it is to create something like Transformers. They [the critics] review me before they've even seen the movie."

I reckon if I was a Transformers fan I'd be excited for how cool the CGI stuff looks, but the thing I read in that Empire review did suggest Mikey Bay is going for lowest common denominator type humour again. With what I imagine is a beloved childhood memory being brought to the big screen, doesn't this guy's insistence on crowbarring in sub Benny Hill gags between the action scenes really piss you off?

They should make a film inspired by Bay, with furious fans so disgusted with the terrible cinematic crimes a crass movie director has perpetrated that they hunt him down and make him pay, filming it as they go and then uploading it onto youtube as a warning to other hack directors out there. Then it's made into a movie by the director's hack brother. And it wins an Oscar.

Enjoy your terrible film, transformers fans.

Well, if you watch some of the preview videos, there is a robot that looks exactly like Skydve.

From the videos it looks at least 50% better than the last Transformers game.

I've just been reading that on imdb.com. I would question the story to be honest. I think from previous quotes. Bay wanted to release TF3 in 2012 so he could take a break of a year or so from transformers, so this is probably what he was hinting at and we know that Bay likes to put out fake information to the media to get discussions going.

How did you get in here again, i thought we changed the locks?

Besides the first film was an awesome summer blockbuster. It wasn't movie of the year, it was just a great, fun film.

I'm hoping that this one continues on from that and from the footage i've seen and from the reviews by people that understand where the film is coming from, it's looking pretty good too me.

Also i'm a little annoyed that they've gone through the trouble of making an aerialbots combiner toy and not put them in the film :x

I speak as someone who loved transformers as a child (the real ones from the 80's). I could not enjoy the film.

The story was annoying, some winey dipshit winning over some incredibly hot chick is something we see in pretty much every movie 'aimed at teens'.

Then Micheal Bay throws in some token cliché soldiers, some comedy black guys and some more hot chicks who add nothing to the story. Then he makes sure you can't see half the action because it looks like Micheal J Fox is holding the strawberry floating camera, and sprinkle in some massive plot holes and stupidity (The kid getting up the stairs faster than strawberry floating Megatron? WTF).

I cannot see how people enjoyed the film. Unless they were 13 when it came out. I even got into the cinema to see it for free and still felt robbed of my time.

Apparently there's more of just the Trannies beating down on each other in this one. The computer nerds ruined the first one, as well as the whole 'were you wanking' bit. I'm going to see it to be entertained, and nothing more.

If it's just giant robots fighting it might be better, so long as the shaky cam is toned down.

I mean I hated Spiderman 1 but loved 2. I'll watch this if I get free tickets or when it comes on Sky / DVD / A good copy online...

You bet he does. He's in it alot more this time, and we also get some classic Starscream-Megatron squabbling.
