One of the greatest movies (animated or not) of all time. Really great stuff.
I wish my toys were real.

Good point. Perhaps another a secret camera in the house?

One thing that's always puzzled me is the lack of a Dad for Andy. Are his parents divorced? How sad if so.

I watched it tonight.

Still Pixar's greatest film they've ever made.

One of the few movies I know almost line for line. A classic  Can't wait for the third one.

Have to agree, though I'm pretty sure nostalgia plays a big part.

I watched it again tonight and didn't feel like nostalgia had swayed my opinion in any way.

It's just their best film.

I was 5 when this came out. I remember everyone talking about it and I never got to see it til it came out on video, so I felt left out. :(

Oh don't get me wrong, objectively I do think it is their best made film purely from a characters/story point of view. Still, I do think a certain fondness comes from it being one of those movies I watched over and over as a kid. Even today though it's one of the few, if only films I can watch repeatedly (I rarely rewatch films).

No he isn't! He's just ignorant! Heck I'd say Woody is the bigger berk in the movie, though not to the point of being an unlikeable character. Incidentally, in an earlier version of the film, Woody apparently had a much more obnoxious attitude.

Toy Story is indeed great, thought it has since been bettered by The Incredibles and Ratatouille.

Shrek the Third is better.

I'd have gone with Monsters, Inc. personally. Absolutely brilliant film.
