You strawberry floating what? All the Shreks were diabolical and Kung Fu Panda was an absolute abortion of a film.

There's no point comparing Pixar and Dreamworks. Pixar are just so massively superior.

Shrek was good. Shrek 2 wasn't bad either.

How snooty.

Pixar is undeniably in a different league, but for sheer entertainment Shrek 2's I Need A Hero finale is pretty special.

And Kung-Fu Panda was really good i thought. The action, visuals and locales were all great and i find Jack-Black irresistably enjoyable.

"Er, i just ate, so my food's still digesting so my Kung-Fu might not be as good as...

:shifty:

...later on..."

Man, I lol every time i see that trailer.

Great thread! Toy Story is still the CGI film so far, with Cars coming a fairly close second. I have them both on DVD.

There's no need to be here any longer than necessary. Let's split up, look for survivors, and get out of here.

Cars?

That's Pixar's second worst film. (Their first being Over the Hedge).

Ironic?

Over the Hedge is as Dreamworks as they come.

Well, I love it. Find it relaxing yet entertaining, and quite like most of the characters. Sorry chief.

Over The Hedge was indeed crap, though Pixar had nothing to do with it so YOU LOOOSE!

But Pixar didn't make Shrek!

I thought Over The Hedge was severely under-rated. It had a bloody good cast, and some great animation.

It made my twenty Noughties animations anyway. The worst DreamWorks film is comfortably 'A Shark Tale' - I could put in a decent argument for that being the worst FILM of all time, never mind animation.

Shrek 1 and 2 are brilliant. Shrek 3 was diabolical.

Madagascar 1 missed the mark. Madagascar 2 is a lot, lot better.

Personally, I just didn't get Kung Fu Panda. Not enough of a kung-fu film, not enough of a comedy, it just kinda fell awkwardly inbetween. Some decent shots though.

Overall, DreamWorks output isn't horrendous, and overall the quality is getting better year on year. But Pixar have the magic, and theres very few DW films I'd put up there with the best of Pixar.

That would be Fox Animation Studios.

Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki's Japanese studio are responsible for Spirited Away. Pixar helped with the English dub though.
