As far as I can tell this basically is the PC version, only with thicker lips and no 3D option.

And not 60fps.

I'd be happy to update if needed.

Almost definitely not.

The PC version is quite resource intensive. The new consoles won't be able to get 1080p60 out of it. No way.

The game will almost certainly be 30fps because of the type of game, getting people used to 60FPS would be foolish as I'd expect the actual true next gen sequel to be pushing the systems somewhat at 30fps. I think you're also giving a bit too much credit to the PC version of the game. Without TressFX, It was basically the PS3 version running at a higher resolution (if you chose), with some minor improvements.

There have clearly been a lot of upgrades for the new version, although I'd still expect considerably better for TR2. I'd also be surprised if it didn't release for PC. But you're kidding yourself if you think the differences in that comparison video would struggle to reach 60fps on a 10x leap in power. Sometimes games are just poorly optimised.

TressFX made a huge difference to cut-scenes though, glad it's in the next-gen versions :)

Yeah, she's not suffering so much from polygon-constrained flatface.

Did they make her whiter

I'll probably get this when I get a PS4 as I never played it on PS3.

Really hope it's 60FPS though. Otherwise it's a bit of a lazy port.

Top one looks better IMO.

Sets a worrying precedent this, releasing what is in effect a HD collectionified game when the old one is still freely available. I've not played this and given the choice I'd get the next gen version, no question. But what's next? Uncharted etc all coming out?

Last of Us maybe because they probably have the capacity to make enhancements. But I don't really see what they could do to uncharted without completely recreating the games apart from make them 60FPS.

If there's not a new version if GTA V announced in the next few weeks I'll eat my hat.

On second thoughts I'm gonna pass on this. I loved it but did all I wanted to do in it, including most of the collectibles. Also the thought of paying £50 for it makes me sad.
