Konami spills Puddle

Slated for a Summer release this year, Konami has announced a new XBLA puzzler, Puddle. According to developers Neko Entertainment Puddle will have players controlling the tilt of the world itself to control liquids through a level, much like the PSP hit Locoroco. What differentiates this title from the adorable portable game is the ability to mix, shake, burn and explode the various puddles of chemicals to solve environmental puzzles. It’s toting realistic fluidity and physics to create a realistic liquid experience. Puddle began it’s life as the GDC Independent Games Festival 2010 award winner of the Student Showcase division. It’s good to see publishers pick up these fresh minds.

Any word on what (if anything) is coming tomorrow?

Any chance of MS springing a surprise on us perhaps...

That's one of the winners from an indie game competition. I remember the Area 5 guys playing it well over a year ago.

Konami must have picked it up to publish.

Looks like the surprise might be a second week with no new releases.

Spelunky is about a year too late.

Looks like they've spent their time adding pointless MP and ruining the aesthetic of the game. Well done them.

I had Rez nailed-on. Would have wetted the appetite rather nicely for CoE.

DotW has been rather gooseberry fool lately. Hope they break out of it soon.

Although it's on steam, about to launch into MTG: DOTP 2012 and see how it goes.

Some Radiant Silvergun details:
Image

It took around half a year just to get the Saturn version of the game running on 360, this was before any graphics work had even begun.

The game will include “Arcade”, “Story”, “Score Attack” and “Training” modes, which will be bolstered by two-player online co-op, leaderboards and the ability to upload & download replays.

There will be many graphics options, allowing you to view the game as it originally looked on Saturn or with all it’s HD improvements and even a little in between. These options will be available to change at any time while playing. Even the anime cutscenes in the story mode have been re-encoded into HD.

For those who have played Ikaruga and unlocked at least one achievement there will be a special mode which will have Ikaruga‘s chain combo system.

Realms Of Ancient War looks right up my street. Hopefully it will turn out pretty good.

If anyone doesn't want their magic the gathering code to redeem for a real magic card I'd quite like it as I collect the cards, but am not getting this on xbox.

If yours is just going to waste i'd really appreciate it, thanks!

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Don't think they've announced a specific date other than it'll be part of Summer of Arcade which starts on July 20th.

Speaking of Bastion, it's one of Eurogamer's "honourable mentions" for E3 2011 Game of the Show:
Bastion: Simply some of the best fun you could have playing a game on the show floor, this XBLA Summer of Arcade treat from Supergiant Games delighted with its punchy isometric action, colourful quasi-anime looks and gravel-voiced, hard-boiled narration. With a tone unlike anything you've ever played (or seen), this is not your average action RPG.
