Might pick it up. I have around 2400 points left, but was going to get GTA4 and the Episodes as DLC, however Banjo Tooie and this will do or maybe Beyond Good and Evil?

You should get Outland and SEGA Rally. That'll leave you 800 points, which you could buy the excellent Bangai-O with.

It's 800 points. You pay 800 points for map packs which give four maps tops. 800 points for what is close to a retail game is pretty good value. I am going to be playing the time trails and try to catch Hugo.

I don't buy map packs at that price. To be honest I'd expect more than just the 6 tracks, since XBLA games can last you ages nowadays just to complete once.

5 tracks. But as Suzz says its about what you'd expect from DLC for the same price, I don't see how making it a standalone title suddenly makes it bad value or a cop out.

Its 5 tracks because thats what is in the Sega Rally 3 arcade machine by the way, its not like they've arbitrarily selected 5 tracks from the retail game (these are new tracks made with bits of different tracks from the retail game for the arcade).

I am happy to announce that, as a part of a new Xbox 360 System Update, we’re expanding our integration with PayPal to allow U.S. and international Xbox LIVE users to make purchases on their Xbox 360 consoles with their PayPal accounts. Once you’ve linked your PayPal account to your Xbox LIVE account on Xbox.com, you’ll be off and running to use it as a billing option, allowing you to buy content such as Microsoft Points, Xbox LIVE Gold subscriptions and Games on Demand titles.

We are rolling out the Xbox 360 System Update gradually to all Xbox LIVE users starting today and throughout the next couple weeks to ensure a high quality deployment. Just like any other update to our service, you will know you’ve received it when you turn on your Xbox 360 console, connect to Xbox LIVE and receive a notification to download the update. It’s important to note that it may take a few days to make its way around the globe. Thanks for your patience if you don’t get it right away!

This particular update will also bring an auto-standby feature that places your console on standby if it’s idle for more than one hour, helping to reduce power consumption. This feature will be automatically enabled after you download the update. You can change this setting in the System Settings on your console.

Finally, thank you to all who participated in the preview program for this Xbox 360 System Update. Your contributions helped us prepare for the updated Xbox 360 disc format capability that comes with this release.

Excellent news, auto standby is good too, I often pause games, get distracted and leave it on for ages.

The most sensible thing of all is rolling out the update over a few weeks, ensuring the update is downloaded efficiently.

All in all the dashboard is pretty good, but as another poster said, they really should improve video playback support.

It's been beta tested for a couple of months.

Alan Wake: Night Springs will be an XBLA title?

An extremely trusted source has leaked to us that the upcoming Alan Wake: Night Springs will be an Xbox Live Arcade title and not a retail release. We have seen screen caps, but have been asked not to disclose them at this time. We have emailed Microsoft asking for a comment and will update as the situation develops.

We would like to point out that we announced the Gotham City Imposters XBLA game months ago, which was recently confirmed. We cannot confirm details about Alan Wake: Night Springs yet, but we expect an official announcement to come soon.

We’ve got some pretty big DLC that’s almost ready to release. There’s no date yet to speak of, but we hope to announce it soon. Expect the DLC to bring a couple surprises, lots of new content and add a significant amount of gameplay.

Handling still isn't a patch on the original Sega Rally :( :( :(

It was perfect on the Saturn and I don't know why they changed perfection, annoying.

Also where is my strawberry floating Daytona USA Sega?

SkyDrift looks strawberry floating awesome.

Storm has potential (though it could be gooseberry fool).

And why the hell hadn't I heard of Gotham City Imposters before?

I want the games we already know about on XBLA to come out, there are so many great looking games coming.

Back to Sega Rally eh.

The game is different to the original SR, its not better or worse, just different. It takes some getting used to, but once you have it down it feels fine. I've heard some people say they prefer how it feels when they have the bonnet cam on, but the trail cam is fine for me.

As for the Saturn Sega Rally...its not that good. If you want to play the original game, you need the PS2 (Jap only) port of it for the best version available on home consoles.

The Saturn version still holds up for me, I still love it and play it often

SR2 on Dreamcast didn't match it and neither did the 360 game, I suppose getting something that right just doesn't happen very often.

You should play the PSP version, it's as close as we're likely to get to a proper SEGA Rally, it's from Bugbear too.
