\o/ It was one of those games that sort of almost made me want to buy a PSP.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Except they've butchered it, aesthetically anyway.

I'm sure I remember reading you can switch it back to the old style graphics.

To be honest though, although to start it looked strange, after watching a few videos its not so bad really. Think its just an initial reaction that most people will get over.

Have they? The trailer seems to suggest you can still play it in "8-bit mode".

Thank heavens!

From Dust and Insanely Twisted for me - the rest don't look like my cup of tea. ITSP reminds of PixelJunk Shooter, a bit.

Those so-called "8-bit graphics" look suspiciously 16-bit to me anyway.

I'll be buying From Dust (although I may get in on PC) and maybe Insanely Twisted. I thought Street Fighter III was a summer release too?

From Dust, Toy Soliders Cold War and Insanely Twisted Planet look good. Can't play the Kinect one and Bastian looks a bit cheap and nasty.

Summer? Maybe. Summer of Arcade? No.

I think it was announced as being out at the end of August.

Worth noting Bastion got a lot of good buzz at E3, it was a runner up for Eurogamer's game of the show for instance.

Bastion: Simply some of the best fun you could have playing a game on the show floor, this XBLA Summer of Arcade treat from Supergiant Games delighted with its punchy isometric action, colourful quasi-anime looks and gravel-voiced, hard-boiled narration. With a tone unlike anything you've ever played (or seen), this is not your average action RPG.

Bastian looks better in stills, but the footage I watched looked a bit rubbish. Like that flash game released the other month. Wakufu or something

Maybe it's just me, my friend things I'm seeing things differently with these cartoony looking games. Wakufu and the HD Might and Magic gave me similar weak impressions on the visual front.
