I was going to post here after watching Smackdown about how Edge is arguably the best performer in the business right now. And then I realised that it would be a pointless post, seeing as theres no argument against it. The guy is phenomenal, and has been for the best part of three straight years.

I agree. His performance when he lost the belt to punk was brilliant. The whole promo was five star. He needs freshening up a bit though. Jericho could easily sneak up on him once he starts getting a bit more air time.

If they're putting Jericho into a good, proper heel vs. Michaels feud then I think Jericho could return to his epic 2001 levels of goodness. I still remember him uniting the WHC and WWF Championship belts, when I was but a 12 year old. Good times

That was the last ppv on Channel 4 I think. I remember watching it live thinking that it was definately Stone Cold Vs Rock in the final. True shock when Jericho beat the Rock.

Vengeance 2001 was my last PPV whilst I was a full-blown face-cheering mark so I was hurling obscenities at the screen when Jericho won.

Oh man I remember that, it was a bit of a shocker. Jericho is at his best when hes a heel.

Summerslam '92; truly a landmark event.

You'd think after that crowd the WWE would have been itching to come back.

Although he was pretty overshadowed, Jericho was immense in 2001.

At the Royal Rumble he had that incredible Ladder Match with Benoit, which is still one of my favourite matches. At Wrestlemania he retained the IC in an underrated match with Regal, then he teamed up with Benoit to win the Tag titles and was challenging for the WWF title at King of the Ring in a Triple Threat with Benoit and Austin before the Invasion story came along. He had a decent feud with Rhino and Stephanie (remember him being Gored through the Smackdown screen thing?), and an epic match with RVD at Unforgiven for the Hardcore belt which even JR gave mega props to. All that then led to the delayed heel turn and he defeated The Rock at No Mercy for the WCW title before turning proper heel and completely owning Rock and Austin one after hte other at Vengeance.

Not bad for someone, who according to Vince, "never caught on".
