Found Sony's response to this advert (also posted on page 8), which apparently received hundreds of complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority in 1998:

Sony Computer Entertainment spokesperson in response:

“The advert is written in snowboard speak, and is meant to reflect the adrenaline rush of the sport. Although the advert was designed to be purely a reference to the excitement of snowboarding, we now understand that some people perceive it to maintain references to drugs. Sony Computer Entertainment therefore decided to remove all posters from UK sites and discontinue the campaign.”
