Why do none of you lot go on about how awesome Californication is. Duchovny gives me a broner in a way that he hasn't since I discovered X-Files.

I enjoy Californication, but it's more of a guilty pleasure more than anything. The show has become outrageously implausible since what, season 2? I stopped watching Weeds last season (should've stopped earlier tbh) and the only reason I still haven't with Calif is because of the tits. And Duchovny

Californication is quite easily my favourite tv show ever. It has literally everything you could want. Duchovny, tits and humour.

3 and 4 were watchable though, even if the quality dipped. They jumped the shark when the nun from the first episode came back.

I still really like it, but I don't think it'll ever be as good as 2 again

I feel that sometimes (a lot of the time) they overdo it with the whole he's so cool schtick. It's like Juno and all that other crap for kooky people, there's zero strawberry floating subtlety to it.

One problem I did have with last season was it got to the point where Hank just had to look at a woman and bam he's having sex with them. And how every girl got wet at his "love" story.

Californication is Entourage with a charismatic lead. It's male fantasy like Twilight is teen female fantasy.

I don't think I made it past episode three our four of Californication. I do keep meaning to give it a second chance, but I remember just hating Duchovny's downright jamminess.

Pretty much

Cuttooth, I don't blame you, and tbh I don't really recommend you give it another try. There's much better shows out there.

Who's everyone rooting for? Me:

TV Drama: Anything but American Horror Story
TV Actress Lead: Clare Danes
TV Actor Lead: Cranston (Lewis and Grammer and definitely deserving as well though)
TV Actor Supporting: Peter Dinklage
TV Actress Supporting: Kelly MacDonald
OST: Reznor and Ross
