Wait what? More than a year? That's worse than Lost.

Could someone reliable tell me the correct order to watch Battlestar Galactica and its one-offs, etc?

Mini-series
Season 1
Season 2
Season 3
'Razor' dvd movie
Season 4

Wrong, Razor should be watched towards after Season 2, not Season 3.

The movie takes place during season 2 & some of the revelations ('Buck) are best seen/heard before watching S3.

We've been over this before, and Sarge is wrong.

While it does fit there, it's best watched after 3.

I only started watching it in April this year but I know they had a two year gap between seasons 5 and 6 aswell.

No I'm not.

Watching it after S3 makes the revelation in Razor pointless & much less shocking than if it's watched before S3.

But the revelation in Razor makes the big shock of S3 worthless.

Plus this way you get the "Oh yeah 'Buck's back! And she's seen earth" feeling - which Razor then ruins.

Otherwise you know she'll be back, ruining the death, then when she is it's all..."Oh no".

It's not as effective.

Watch it in the order made/released :)

I'm also a Trek fan, the best I would say is Voyager for one simple reason.

Would!

Right.

TNG is the best "pure trek"
Voyager 1-4 was the best "modern trek", but it died fast.
DS9 3-7 is the best run by far, but isn't very trek.
Ent 4 is the best fanboys trek (until the end when it becomes DIRE)

You know how much I hate agreeing with Hexx, but I have to in this occasion. It's best watched after season 3.

Voyager is my favourite I must say followed by TNG. DS9 I liked but not as much as the others and then Enterpirse had good moments but most of the time was like watching a puppy die slowly

I thought the opposite.

If I had watched it in the order I'm suggesting to Rinks, then I would have thought...

That the Cylons were up to their mind games again.

And then when...

She 'dies'

My theory would have been proven right until...

She re-appeared again during the S3 finale.

Complete mind strawberry float.

Voyager was very good, but it declined rapidly from the begining of Season 5 (ironic, because I think "Night" was the best opener they've ever done).

DS9 was brilliant, but it really wasn't "trek-like".

And Enterprise varied between complete dross, and brilliance - but was mainly dreck in the first 2 series. 3 and 4 picked up the game considerable. but then they did the wankiest ending ever. Too obessed with Time Travel towards the end of Voyager and most on Enterpise.

Did give us an episode of this, though;
