Look what's coming on Guitar Hero 3:

IGN wrote:English Speed Metal Band DragonForce to Debut New Single in Guitar Hero III Track Pack
The DragonForce track pack hits Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network on August 21.

US, August 19, 2008 - Known for their out-of-control riffs, fast paced songs and twin guitar solos, DragonForce will ascend the virtual stage once again to unleash "Heroes of Our Time" - the debut single off their new album Ultra Beatdown - in a three-song track pack for Activision Publishing, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The DragonForce track pack will be available on August 21, 2008 giving gamers the unique opportunity to download and play "Heroes of Our Time" in advance of the album release.

After experiencing the furious fret work of "Through the Fire and Flames," Guitar Hero fans will have their shredding skills pushed to the limit with "Revolution Deathsquad" and "Operation Ground and Pound" from their third album Inhuman Rampage, in addition to "Heroes of Our Time," which will set players' fingers ablaze as they try to keep up with some of the most challenging riffs to date.

The three-song DragonForce Track Pack will be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and in the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system on August 21, 2008.

Why not Rock Band you idiots? People don't play GH3 no more! These would be so good in Rock Band. Damn you DragonForce!

According to those LIVE lists that are posted in the Markeplace thread (I think it is), Guitar Hero III has always been above Rock Band. :fp:

Dragonforce are gooseberry fool. I'm glad they're not coming to Rock Band.

They said they're gonna have 500 downloadable tracks before the year is over, not that they're releasing 500 more songs before the year is over.

There's six albums yet to come out this year, so that's a nice chunk of songs towards the 500, but it still seems kind of an impossible target. How many songs are we at right now?

Are you sure its not just 500 tracks in total over RB1, RB2 and downloadable tracks.

Still it'd need them to average around 8.5 tracks a week for the rest of the year, not impossible I suppose.

I downloaded B.Y.O.B. and Toxicity earlier on. Toxicity was easy enough to 5-star on guitar, but I could only manage to 4-star B.Y.O.B.. I managed to get a slightly better score for my second playing, but it was a bit off from 4 and a half stars.

I may download one or two other songs, but I'm not sure which at the moment.

I got my replacement kick pedal today. It was a wonderful time to be alive until I sat down to play and found there to be a great big titty-fucking hole right smack in the middle of my yellow drum pad. A good quarter of hits made don't register at all. Also, I'm having to reset the height of the drums after every song now. Sometimes I'll barely be half way through a track before they're down to my bloody toes. It's very difficult to play like that. Kind of puts you off.

Someone really doesn't want me playing drums. Go away, someone!

Didn't you post a picture in the old Rock Band thread where the drum pads looked as though they'd been hit really hard? Surely that didn't help?

Gold stars are at about 415 thousand so you're not done yet.

Next week's brain-shatteringly awesome DLC?

Moving Pictures.

Yes, the Rush album.

Yes, I know.

Moving Pictures? :o

This is easily going to be the best Rock Band DLC ever! :D

Two things: Tom Sawyer is already on the disc and YYZ is an instrumental. So what is Harmonix going to do about that?

Not much for the singer to do, unless there's lots of cowbell-type sections.

I'm not bothered about it being an instrumental but I was just wondering what the singer would do. I can't see them hitting the microphone for the duration of the song.

That Rush DLC sounds amazing! And having YYZ on Rock Band would be ace, as it's a reason not to turn on Guitar Hero 2.

Moving Pictures is the only Rush album I have. Bought it as an Xmas present for my old man but sneakily copied it to my MP3 player. :P

I haven't actually listened to any of the songs on it apart from Limelight, Tom Sawyer and YYZ (if that's on it). So maybe I should actually listen to it. Then if I like, I may get the DLC.
