All the banners on the Store say they're 100% discounts, though. They would've had to accidentally put them in the discounts banner and accidentally used the "+ £0.00" icons instead of the "+ FREE" icons in all the art as well if it was a cock-up.

So someone accidentally put them in as discounts rather than for free. Yes I think thats very possible.

You don't understand. These are static banner images I'm talking about. A graphic designer made them all by hand.

Just been on the Store, although the art on the front page of the store shows £0.00, if you go into the game page it says FREE.

That's the way it usually shows regardless of whether you get to keep it or not. Jesus.

But the when you go to buy it it says the PS+ price is £0.00.

If it is the case that the games have been put in as discounted instead of free and that makes them free forever, then I think its because someone has strawberry floated up.

I don't know what this PS+ stuff normally looks like. I usually ignore it all.

I'm just going by what official people have said and common sense. They can't have meant to give these games away to everyone for ever or they would have been mentioned with the other free games forever they are giving away.

Unless its supposed to be some big E3 stunt. Hey now you can go download Burnout Paradise on PSN and you know what you can keep it. That kind of thing...but if that was the case, then why show their hand now? It doesn't make sense.

They didn't make a big song and dance about Stacking being yours to keep either, though. They just said "day 1 with a 100% discount" and never really explained the difference.

My internet connection really is terrible - I'm about 55% into the Burnout Paradise download which has been going since about 2pm :fp:

Well, after all that, Burnout does indeed have an expiry date. So either someone cocked up the DRM or someone cocked up the banner art. Most likely the latter, it's an expensive game to give for keeps.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before but I've just been on my PS3 and the online is the same as ever and I don't seem to have PSN+ activated so cant download any of the free stuff? Am I just being a bit thick (which is 100% possible) or was I supposed to do something to get this stuff?

The Welcome Back freebies aren't up yet. They should be there tomorrow, maybe.

If I didn't despise the hackers so much I might suggest we join them for this outrageous snub and watch Sony tremble like the little bunch of girly girls they are but I do so I wont.
Oh well back to moaning and grumbling ineffectually I suppose.

As I was saying.

Is this the same for the other Free PS+ games up there?

Wait, what? You were saying that if they were for keeps, it was a mistake, and I was saying how unlikely it would be that they balls up both the banner art AND the DRM at the same time.

Magic: The Gathering is for keeps, but according to you, they made a cock up there too.

Everything else has the regular expiry.

This conversation is exhausting.

Hugo never admits he's wrong, so it's an exercise in futility.
