Can someone please explain the whole situation regarding the Chat Room thread and its seeming demise? I don't understand why they are trying to get rid of it and I don't feel I know enough to gage how people are reacting to it. Help appreciated.

There's not problem with the thread turning out the same. However, if it is smaller it is less daunting for newcomers.

It's supposed to be (almost) exactly the same as TCRT anyway, so I'm not sure what you really mean. It's large page count was something we thought was intimidating to the new members we're so eager to attract, so we've found a nice way to remove that issue without actually changing the day-to-day posting of the chat regulars.

Anyway, I'll figure out how to properly lock a thread someday. :oops:
