strawberry floating Texans, got our asses handed to us by a rookie QB at our place.

Although, tbh, I  Sanchez, I think he's going to be huge in the NFL. I'm also hoping Gholston can get his sack on now with Ryan running the defence, although if he doesn't under him, then it's fair to say bust on him I'm afriad.

Jambot, how did the Redskins D, in particular the D-line do against the Giants. I know they lost, but did they compete, cause problems, be as dominant as the Giants D-line is?

Also, does anyone here watch College football? Great game on Saturday with USC and Ohio State, great late drive by them.

I think the Jets D could be very impressive this year and youre right if Gholston dosent perform this year then there isnt really any hope for him. Sanchez definitely has the potential to be great and he has enough around him in NY to be productive straight away.

Missed the USC game, was too tired to stay up for it, heard it was a good one though. Ill watch college ball whenever its on, dont follow a team in it or anything like that. Did watch the Michigan game, The Big House is a damn impressive place, would love to go to a game there. I think Charlie Weis managed to get even bigger since he left the Patriots, hell need a strawberry floating scooter on the sidelines next season!

So far, NCAAF has been amazing. Pretty much every game on ESPN has been decided on the last drive of the game.

After watching the opening two weeks, I can totally understand why 106,000 odd will fill the horse shoe in Columbus to watch people still studying for their degrees play football. There is something so entrancing about College Football, something so electric about it that makes it so great. I know understand when people say they would rather watch college football then watch the pros in the NFL, everything about it is great, I love it.

More importantly...

Fellas, Britbowl is on the weekend of the 26th & 27th. Taking place at the Doncaster Rovers stadium. Might be worth popping down and watching one of the games on show. It's a good way to support American Football in the UK.

You might be surprised at how much fun the games are.

It's diffcult to judge the D by itself - ToP was 24:36 in favour of the G-men - I don't think any D can hold out all game if your offence keeps going 3 and out. NYG only scored one offensive touchdown - a plus, and Jacobs got very little, so the middle is (maybe not quite $100m's worth of) solid - but there's very little pass rush, and the secondary looks disorganised.

Frankly it's all a bit academic - Zorn mismanaged too many times and he has no understanding with Campbell - who is out of his depth. Too many errors and poor play calls, plus a general air of frustration and lack of confidence in their team mates and clarity about what they're supposed to be doing. Depressing.

That's not too bad, although the Giants are lacking offensively after loosing Plexiglass, not getting pressure would be a serious worry, although hopefully, once Orakpo comes good for you guys down the stretch, offenses will have to chose who to double team and haynesworth up the middle 1-1 or Orakpo, either standing up on with his hand in the dirt 1-1 is a match up I'd like.

Although tbh, it's all meaningless. You're playing in the NFC East. You guys could win 9 games and I'd still have you finishing last.

Also, throwback shirts - They were all amazing last night, loved the Pats and Raiders in particular.

I think the Chargers throwback is much nicer than their regular jersey. Cant wait for the Tampa throwback either, thats gonna be hilarious to watch!

Saw someone driving a jeep with a Raiders emblem on the spare tyre cover today.

That's my story.

I rented it last week, wasnt a fan. Seemed to be all flash and the usual tiny gameplay update, they really need a decent rival again.

I always end up getting bored of Madden really quickly. A bit like most of the American sports games, it all ends up becoming really repetitive.

NHL, however, is awesome

Well that was deoressing. Just watched Tennessee go 0-3 for the season, losing 17-24 at the Jets. Too many rookies in the Titans teams, their punt receiver Mouton is going to have nightmares :fp:

Never mind, there's always next year.

Jets are looking good, Mark Sanchez has really hit the ground running
