I went drinking and got sleepy so I couldnt stay up for the game. Did catch the repeat this afternoon, so that made up for it.

how'd you manage that? I just checked ticketmaster.com and they're £300!

cheeky bugger

that was probably the club Wembley tickets, there are two options on ticketmaster.

they had a new batch at 11am although the website started selling them at 10:57, got 3 for £45 each someone on an nfl forum said by 11:02 most of the affordable seats had sold out

yeh the Club Wembley tickets were all that were left :(

ah well, c'est la vie

I wouldn't worry, wait until a few weeks before the game, people will be flogging the tickets on the NFLUK forums. Has happened that way every year so far.

Two more live games on Sky this evening, thankfully at a more reasonable hour. First up it's the Cleveland Browns against the Minnesota Vikings, then it's the New York Giants against the Washington Redskins.

Both matches on Sky Sports 3, coverage starts at 5.30pm. Can't wait!

Bastard :( Stream it has to be, then.

Interesting to see how Favre gets on today. It'll be pretty weird to see him in that shirt, anyway.

That was a good first game. AP came up trumps again. If Favre can play like that every game, manage things, not force it in there too much then the Vikes will be very dangerous. Giants are running away with this one, looking very impressive.

Im having a ridiclous fantasy week, 129 points, 30 clear of anyone else and Moss and Welker play tomorrow night. Good times!

Was a pretty good game, both the live games were. Watch a few games and youll pick things up, the guys in the studio will explain some of the more basic stuff and the american commentators will often explain the more confusing rules. Sky used to do a rookie week where they explain it all in very simple terms, not sure if theyll don one again. Im assuming theyll announce it if they are planning on.

Did anyone else think the guest was cringeworthy. Kept giving one line answers when asked questions, Nick had to jump in from time to time. He kept looking from Nick to Kev like he was at a tennis game as well.

Missed the Vikings game! Which was annoyed about, but I watched all the highlights.

Go Vikes. 8-) Peterson looking to break his 10 TD season this year? I think so.

What a strawberry floating awesome end to the Packers game. I honestly thought Rodgers was going to bottle it again but that 50-yard pass could set him on the right track for the rest of the season. He got really lucky with the slide, mind.

Cutler looked really frustrated, though. That rookie wide-receiver (name escapes me right now) let him down a few times and you could see him thinking "I hope this doesn't go on all strawberry floating season"

Doesn't help when all you try to do on your 2nd drive is throw to the other team :fp:

I see the Rams are trying to outdo the Lions. "Not only are we going to lose every game, but we're going to score ZERO points!" As a St Louis Rams fan, I love our tactic of drafting receivers, turning them into awesome receivers, then trading them away just for kicks. Then, just for a laugh, we'll get rid of Tory Holt after not passing him the ball for a whole season :fp:

Updated the first post with all the scores from the weekend. Ill put up the standings as well after lunch.

It was a damn good Kickoff weekend, Carolina were so bad its barely funny, the madden curse struck again with Polamalu going down for 3-6 weeks, the Cardinals kicked off their Superbowl hangover with a loss to the 49ers, Romo threw for 350, Seattle got a shutout, Denver and Cincinatti needed devine intervention on an interception to seperate them, Brees throws 6 TDs to 5 different receivers, AP runs riot. All this and we still have Bills @ Patriots and Chargers @ Raiders to come tonight. Its good to have the NFL back.
