Finished that paper this morning, then went to bed, and just got up about an hour ago. Now I have to get started on the next one, due Wednesday.

Also thought of a great sort of memorial thing for my friend, somehing I came across while writing my thesis earlier this year...

Send your name to Mars, his name is now going to be on a microchip on the Mars Science Laboratory that they will send to Mars.

Thats pretty cool. I put my name down too. I can't sleep, or don't want to. I want to think.

Life in general really. I find myself thinking a lot more recently, maybe its a sign of maturing, but everything seems a lot more serious to me nowadays. I can't really explain what my heads like, because it's beyond what my literate skills can explain.
It often comes with listening to music. Makes my mind wonder. Always brings me back to the same things though, the situation in life I am in at the moment and the fact that I should really just live a little, stop worrying, realise I will die some day and that everything i've ever done will be insignificant and just not worry.

Hey Righty, whatever you do, don't kick yourself about not seeing him.

I had a chance to see my Nan before she died, knew she wasn't well but didn't think she'd die, so I didn't go. I beat myself up about it for a long time, but all I did was make a wrong choice. In the end I knew my nan would have forgiven me so I don't hate myself for it any more.

And I think it's the same with your mate. If you did see him, you could have brought in something nasty and made his end that much worse for him.

Got a call from my friends brother today about details for the funeral. He asked me to be a pallbearer which I agreed to, although I was a bit surprised. I knew we were good friends but always thought that I was more on the outside of his circle of friends since I barely knew anyone else that he knew.

Also don't worry, I'm not beating myself up about not going. I know that if I had gone I could have made things a whole lot worse for him, so in the end it's for the best that I didn't.

I'm a bit nervous about the funeral, as I've never been to one before. I think it's one thing to hear about the death of a friend, but quite another to actually be there and see the body.

This is the same for me 3 nights ago... can't believe that's all it is.. Could have seen her sunday night... didn't feel up to it and we thought she'd hang around a bit longer but she went yesterday morning. I'm still at the beating myself up about it stage. It just takes time

Damn it, didn't sleep last night as I was working on a paper, then when I got home I just took a shower and fell asleep until about 10 minutes ago. :x

I was in a storm last night. Couldn't sleep, and the house had no electricity, so no internets for me. I've been awake all day and still not tired. Insomnia?

Bought my suit and tie for the funeral, also got a ton of work done, day well spent I figure.

Clearly too many letters used too. Just goes against everything Countdown stands for.

"I'm a big fan, Rachel."

"Oh, you watch Countdown?"

"Countdown?"
