Quite liked the first series. It certainly had me laughing in places and I liked some of the observations. I shall watch with interest to see if they build upon potential. I think they've nearly made a very good comedy about young people.

Was the only one getting Peep Show vibes of off this? It reminded me a lot of it, just how a lot of it is sarcasm, average acting and many scenes you were embarrassed for characters whilst watching. It's like Peep Show for a younger generation.

Yeah I got that but only from Will who seemed like he was doing a David Mitchell impression. Will's definitely the weak link in the show.

Considering Will looks just like someone who turned up on his first day of school brandishing a briefcase, I find him brilliant. He also acts exactly like my brother does.

The tall one is the weak link for me, but he got the laughs of the episode this week. Simon was the weak link this time around.

It's actually a very accurate view of what teenagers are like: they've captured the little narcissistic gooseberry fools perfectly. The best demonstration of that is actually the character I suspect is meant to be the least banana splitish with the hope that most kids watching will identify with him - Will (the 'posh' speccy one) - in the way he makes sardonic derogatory class-centred comments, which if written down for posterity, would embarrass the hell out of any adult who had been exactly like that as a kid. Every year in school has one of those types. Clarkman would be a good example. I pity his old classmates.

Yeah same as. Genuine tears throughout the whole boat scene. Loved the first series and this new series looks like it will be equally hilarious.

also "was that a dream or did it really just happen" was a highlight for me.

Not laughed so much or as loud in ages at the fish punching bit. Also Jay with the line, " me and my mate got a peddalo in Spain last year and went to Africa. " Neil was the highlight for me, his response when Will told him the teacher was grooming him and what it meant, " ahhh right, night! " Magic.

omg, that was amazing. "for once could you just not talk bullshit!?". With Will completely going nuts. Ah dear I'm rofling heartily as I type this. strawberry floating awesome show. Every episode is full on lol worthy. Not been a series like that for me since I'm Alan Partridge.

it just means you're too old... ;)

Can't be true. I'm older, and I think it's fresh, well-observed, and one of the few comedies of recent years that can actually make me laugh instead of just smile. Compared to BBC3's horrendous depiction of a similar age group, Coming of Age, The Inbetweeners shines brightly.

Jay is great, exactly like that one bullshitter everyone knows. Alan Partridge," I'm destroying my cereals!"...Geordie guy," Ha, hes a cereal killer like."

Do you not remember his dancing at the end of the first season? That was reason enough to think he's awesome. I think they're all pretty good to be honest, I'll be watching the first of season 2 over the weekend at some point.

Shame that Lauren isn't going to be in more episodes. NI accents really do it for me

I find Will really annoying though, and not in a funny way. I actually wanted to twat him for ruining it between Simon and Lauren. God, I'm so sad.

First time I've watched this, couldn't help but notice the dozen adverts being shown daily. I liked it, I found the actor who plays Will (or just, Will) over played it a bit though.

I found the character who was doing the wanker signs at the old ladies on the coach funniest, especially his 'ahh, I knew it, I knew you were bent for him' line and the way he says it. I was grinning throughout it all cos of how accurate it is, like when he says he's off somewhere to see someone and then ends with 'and her pussy', and sniggers. Like the wanker signs, it's that he thinks he's cool for doing it that I funny..

Or the bit where he says 'but his fat arse takes up two seats' and you hear the guy in the background snort out 'i have feelings too you know'.

Punching the fish i thought was unfunny and more violent than it needed to be with the blood, but that seems to be people's highlight (judging by the rllmuk thread as well), hmm.

I liked the line, "I'm not eating that, it's come out of the sea".

I think one of the things that makes the show is that all of the four main characters manage to be arses, yet still quite likeable most of the time.

EDIT: I've just found out that lucky bastard Ben Miller is married to the woman who plays Will's mum (and she's also in Primeval). I hope she's in this series.

The last episode of season one was the weakest of the bunch by far. Rest of the series in phenomenal though. And there isn't enough praise for the bit where they accuse Neil's dad of molesting them in S1.
