Nope. The PM's gone out of my saved messages so I don't remember, sorry. I put you in second place though I think, so you got nine points from me.

I feel like I lucked out with the lie I was given, really, considering that I've made been so many wrestling based posts in this thread. It was pretty believable and easy enough to sell.

The LIE DML made me made me so angry at how obvious it was that I PM'd him complaining.

I'm actually waiting for my apology. It better be GROVELLING.

I really should have lodged a complaint about mine: talking about SNESes when I made it very clear that I didn't get into gaming until the generation after? In this very thread?

Six people still fell for it.

The one least people got wrong was Cora's - and even then three people got it wrong!

Everyone in the thread going - I reckon I'll need a perfect score....YEAH RIGHT!

My truth was better than my lie. Plus I had photographic evidence!

I'm going to hibernate now until GGGCX. Put some bloody gaming questions in that one Dimil!

Actually, I didn't lie throughout this round: someone in my class did genuinely trip over a chair and break a bone in her foot recently. That said, it'll probably have been a better sell if the console in question was a PlayStation or something.

For my lie, I'd like to say I've never thrown a controller at anything. They're expensive, I know better than to risk damaging them.

I was almost certain yours was true til' I thought about it- and from my memory of the game, it limited how many you could have- I also struggled with the idea of someone owning 13 memory cards.

How many thought mine was true? And DML, did you indeed laugh at my awful haircut in the evidence I gave?

What was worse, is that several people picked it out on an FM Forum as one of the worst/funniest pictures in the game, not knowing I was a full member. I was absolutely crushed.

I thought the writing task would cost me. Only 2 points there... ouch. To he honest, I am surprised I scored so highly on the flash games as well, as only my RUSH score saves me. A shame, really, as I felt I could improve that if I had had more time (not a fault of the contest, I just had a really busy few days). Not sure I would have troubled the top spots with my skiing or wonderputt score, mind.

But the writing one... fnnnrrgh. I must stop doing concept pieces, as you lot simply don't like them. I must admit, o do have fun writing them.

I quite enjoyed that last task. Though too many of you were given away by searching your posts.

Frank, you mentioned FFVIII once, and then you were moaning about party members you never used... including Irvine! I felt that was a fairly safe truth. Likewise, the "Jon Jeremy " bit in plastic's just felt like a DML typo to me - did you mean Ron Jeremy?

It is a shame, as if I had had one.more strong round I could have gone through. I don't entertain these to win them anymore - I play games less and less nowadays, and many of you have surpassed my knowledge (especially of this current generation of consoles), bit I really enjoy the competition so always want to stay in for as long as possible.

It is no coincidence, either on, that the GGGC I won was the one where I was at Uni and had VAST amounts of time on.my hand. Stupid work keeps getting in the way now. (As an aside, I wonder what my writing piece was for that GGGC, it obviously wasn't so bad as to knock me out)

That makes it three years in a row the writing round has done me in!

Anyway, a huge thank you to DML for running this. I will be watching as always as the competition progress. And thank you for everyone else for taking part. Interrogating you all last time was much too fun...

I will not be watching the rest of the competition, because unlike Parksey I'm not gracious in defeat and am in fact strawberry floating furious. This despite the fact that it's better for me to go out as I'm crushed under a mountain of uni work combined with my actual job. I leave with my head held high, as highest scoring eliminee. Who should have gone through. :x

Final 12 \o/

Now watch me crash and burn.

Dark Ritual 24pts - 13 correct guesses + 2 bluffing bonus
The-Elbo 23pts - 12+2

So close :x

Love it how everyone just assumed I was lying about my Toad Fanfic, not one question was asked about the statement.

Bah, a few of the lies threw me.

I misread Skippy's and thought that was the first game he played. And found a post where he mentioned older games and thought that sealed his fate.

Wallace messed up a bit on his facts when I questioned him - he got confused about his age and stuff - and I should have stuck to my guns and put it as a lie, but it didn't fit the True/Lie ratio so I changed it.

Same with Jay, I put that as true just to fit the ratio. I thought you wouldn't risk someone else's expensive handhelds while you were borrowing it.

I had my doubts about Tragic initially but he convinced me, even if I just couldn't fathom the number of games he buys.

Corazon I believed, but was just questioning for the fun of it...

I'm surprised a few people didn't get questioned on their statements.

Yeah, Drummy could have confirmed what I said about Resi 4 whenever he wanted(incidentally, I bought that during another DML game, the Crystal Maze, and now forever associate the two games, including the MSN chats between our team that I totally ignored to shoot Ganados). I was pretty drunk when you were asking me questions as I'd been at a pub quiz - shouldn't have answered in as much detail. By the way, you have a PM from me asking about the games you're selling. ANSWER IT.

I was going to, but simply ran out of time.

I only really got round to Tragic, Corazon, Wallace, Jay and Call and Answer.

And Call and Answer was only undone as I just couldn't see the physics of it working.

I am surprised more people didn't as it did work. I only changed my verdict on some of them because of the set number of truths and lies on each team.

I must admit, I thought denster's just sounded like it was written by DML...

I've been out since mid-afternoon. I'm quite drunk now but I've had a half-arsed read through tje last ten pages or so. Fuckiing WELL DONE Team Devlin, we've done amazingly well! I'm glad to have finished as high in the group as I did but I genuinely feel like I've been carried through to the final 12 and don't expet to go much further, as hard as I will try to do so! I almost feel like I'm taking the place of other contestants who have dropped out but I'm glad to be with I am. It's good to see the individual task points confirming the mediocrity I mentioned in a past post.

I'm excited for the rest but the last threee and a bit tasks have been great and if the next task is as far as I go then so be it. I've had a blast even trying to compete in this.

Sad to see some of you go. I'll be sure to spam this thread with even more Punk gifs until I eventually go out!

I would never have believed Denny's had StayDead not remembered it had happened. I think it could've gone eitherway. I was begging to be questioned.

Definitely feeling nervous about the next task now. If I pass this task, I'll be happy but I'd hate to fail at the start of phase 2.
