GGGC VII: Get Into The Game! - INCLUDING ALL GGGC HISTORY

It is essentially just a quiz, but some of the later tasks involve having to write a review for a game, or design a game or something like that.

To put it simply its a knockout competition. Every round is about gaming for gamers. It could be writing a review, playing a game competitively, gaming knoiwledge, indetifying game music, andything to do with gaming.

Each round is different, and at the end of every round contestants are eliminated until we are left with one - the winner and GRCade's 'Games Guru'.

Can't put it much more simply than that.

EDIT - Good mix of old and new so far in the auditions. If you havent played before and you have some time, please give it a go! You may just like it as much as AYAW...you never know!

And it's incorrect to just simplify the competition as a quiz, it's so much more.

Writing a review sounds like far too much effort for me.

I'm not entering on account of the fact that my gaming knowledge and expertise is rather pathetic compared to that of most people here, despite me having been a gamer since the Spectrum.

Its true, but even on average the Purple crew were well behind the other two teams.

No auditions this evening, bit dissappointing.

Well, there is still a lot of time, but we only have nine auditions so far, and a serious lack of new contestants, definitely not enough to be going on so far. I havent really done my drumming up of potential contenders yet - but it goes without saying that we have nowhere near enough as it stands, and we're halfway through the sign up time. I normallly get a glut at the start but its slowed right down, so if you know someone who would be interested get them in, so we can have a competition.

Unfortunately the forum isn't attracting all that much 'new blood' at the moment, which makes it hard for a competition like this to naturally evolve. If its all the same faces again, its dull.

That said, its not like I havent had any auditions from some interesting newies. Also, Parksey hasnt auditioned as of yet.

It would be a great shame if the competition didn't go ahead.
