Think I went a bit over the top with the challenge. :shifty:

Did make some good progress on Ace Attorney Investigations while doing it though. :D

I'm doing my challenge right now. Unfortunately, I built a perpetual motion machine which makes it harder than it ought to be.

Challenge Challenge week 5

Freewheel Festival

Everyone was left to their own steam this week as contestants were dropped from the top of the nutty acres Volcano and tasked with sliding as far as they could before coming to a standstill.

1 - Bandwagon – 80452 (95th)
2 - Dalagonash – 28987
3 - JK – 21737
4 - Roonmastor – 9427
5 - T9Flake – 2045
6 - StayDead – 1783
7 - Seven – 1595
8 - Mokeyjoe - 1078

First place is awarded ten points, second 9, third 8, and so on.

The pro way –

It turns out some well placed weight and a nice bit of a ramp can ensure a permanent spin that will net you a stupidly high score. Simplicity begat complexity this week.

Feel free to discuss your vehicles, issues, and successes!

Replica Challenge 4 results

The Jolly Roger was a bizarre suggestion, with not one person complaining as to the strict limitation on parts by Mumbo, stunting creative flourishes in his wake. Even with this hinderance the contestants managed to capture the spirit of the vehicle in their attempts.

The winners this week are Dalagonash and Roonmastor, both very different creations but both of which caught the eyes of the judges here on GRcade.

Image

Image

Those standings in full -

1 – Dalagonash – 31% (18)
1 – Roonmastor – 31% (18)
3 – Bandwagon – 12% (7)
4 - T9Flake – 10% (6)
4 – JK – 10% (6)
6 – StayDead – 7% (4)

A common feature were the use of sails for, shockingly, sails.

 Sumo was brilliant, the last 10 seconds I was just driving around desperately trying to keep away from Dala.

And JK could you please send me your Flintstones vehicle, apparently it's rather good.

Multiplayer Madness

Thanks to our four competitors this week, some fun matches indeed! No football in sight, and we managed to crack the T9 code.

Egg & Spoon

1) Roonmastor
2) Bandwagon
3) Dalagonash
4) T9Flake

In a repeat performance of last week's hurdles, Roon and Band took to the skies whilst Dala and T9 argued with the concrete in wheel based efforts doomed to failure.

Darts

1) Dalagonash
2) Roonmastor
3) Bandwagon
4) T9Flake

After a serious case of 'What the hell, why isn't it working?' and some spectacular crashes, points were scored and positions taken.

Short Circuit (LOG's choice)

1) Bandwagon
2) T9Flake
3) Dalagonash
4) Roonmastor

Circling the motherboard in the Logbox isn't all that easy when you're also trying to kick everyone else out of the way, and flunking your own efforts in the process...

Air Banjo Brawl (LOG's choice)

1) T9Flake
2) Bandwagon
3) Roonmastor
4) Dalagonash

It appears that when the objective is 'blow everything the strawberry float up', T9 is actually pretty good.

Drag Kings (LOG's choice)

1) Dalagonash
1) T9Flake
3) Roonmastor
4) Bandwagon

With more people skidding than keeping a straight line you'd think it was London after some snow, there was certainly some devious play thanks to the orange launchers.

Sumo (LOG's choice)

1) Bandwagon
2) Dalagonash
3) Roonmastor
4) T9Flake

Even without his immovable rock of a vehicle Bandwagon has proven again that he is the most sturdy of competitors, but only just.

This Week's positions!

In fourth place - Image T9Flake.

In third place - Image Roonmastor.

In second place - Image Dalagonash.

And in first place - Image Bandwagon.

Weekly Awards!

The Mechanic Award presented by Mumbo Jumbo.

ROONMASTOR

Image

For performing best in the custom vehicle events.

Teacher's Pet Award presented by the Lord of Games.

BANDWAGON

Image

Did best in LOG choice vehicles.

Showing his Age Award presented by Cranky Kong.

DALAGONASH

'It's kinda like Roadblock from Robot Wars' - A 1998 TV show.

Thank for showing up everyone!

Supreme Sculptor:

1 - Dalagonash – 34
2 - T9Flake – 32
3 - JK - 31
3 - Roonmastor - 31
5 - Bandwagon - 28
6 - Mokeyjoe - 17
7 - StayDead –16

Dalagonash takes first place, barely, with the gap between the top players becoming even smaller.

Challenge Champion:

1 - Dalagonash – 45
2 - Bandwagon – 42
3 - T9Flake – 36
3 - Roonmastor – 36
5 - JK – 32
6 - Mokeyjoe – 28
7 - StayDead - 22
8 - Seven – 16

JK overtakes the lazy Mokeyjoe as Bandwagon closes the gap between himself and current leader Dalagonash.

Multiplayer Master:

1 – Bandwagon - 46
2 – Roonmastor - 40
2 – T9 Flake - 39
4 – Dalagonash – 35
5 – JK - 29
6 – StayDead – 10
7 - Mokeyjoe - 5

Bandwagon extends his already impressive lead whilst JK’s decision to go binging loses him a place.

Supreme GR Banjo Nuts & Bolts Amazo-Tournament Leaderboard!

1 – Bandwagon - 116
2 – Dalagonash – 114
3 – T9Flake - 107
3 – Roonmastor - 107
5 – JK - 92
6 – Mokeyjoe - 50
7 – StayDead - 48
8 – Seven – 16

A strong multiplayer and challenge appearance means Bandwagon retains his top spot as the competitors start to break the 100 point barrier, Dalagonash moves up as Roon equalizes with T9Flake, there’s practically nothing seperating the best players.

WEEK 6

Replica

Mechano Yoshi

Image

That Mario thinks he’s so great with his bee suits and his fire flowers, well Banjo has had enough of his constant showboating and is taking the Dr Robotnik method to getting even, make a robotic version.

In this situation it’s a robotic version of Mario’s green Dinosaur pal Yoshi, currently seen stealing the plumber’s limelight in Super Mario Galaxy 2, maybe Banjo can get a bit of that popularity.

Deadline – Blueprints to be sent to me by Thursday 4th March at 7pm, please include your name in the title. Voting thread will appear on Friday in GGC.

Challenge challenge

Banjoland Act 2, Challenge 1, The Referee’s an Aardvark!

Make your own vehicle and get as many balls in the goal as you can manage in the time limit! No jamming the stick to the right and hoping for the best this week JK.

Deadline – Times will be checked on Thursday 4th at 6pm, make sure Dalagonash is your friend on Live!

Mad Cap Multiplayer

Next week’s confirmed race is Triathlon and the confirmed Sport is Basketball. The Triathlon is a hard race, involving a lot of skill to do well in so you’d be best checking it out whilst basketball tasks you with hurling balls into a hoop!

IMPORTANT! NEW FEATURE!

These will be followed by a sport and race using Dala’s choice of vehicle, these will be sent to you by blueprint on Monday along with the event reveals for you to check out before the action on Thursday.

This will be followed by a random sport and a random race using LOG’s choice of vehicles.

Be there, 7:30, next Thursday.

After so many weeks using LOGs football vehicle, I can't wait to build something that can actually turn whilst holding a ball. And the move to Dala's Choice is a good call. Four LOG games mean't we ended up doing a lot of the same. I reckon I could build an amazing Yoshi, but it'd only nerfed again due to LOGs H+S rules :x

And I also thought Robot Wars when I saw those vehicles.
