Haven't got the DLC but would be happy to get it, was flicking through the multiplayer game modes and they look fun.

You should see mine. It's going to win easily.

Win at being gooseberry fool! Dala's looked at mine as I showed him it. Funniest thing ever.

 Looking forward to seeing them all.

Challenge Challenge week 1

Flush the Floater.

This was a simple checkpoint race in which you simply had to spin in a circle to achieve victory, a quick glance may hint towards an aircraft or even a boat, how did our competitors fare?

1 – Mokeyjoe – 20.22 (also placing him 55th in the worldwide leaderboard)
2 – T9Flake – 20.61
3 – Bandwagon – 21.35
4 – Dalagonash – 22.52
5 – Roonmastor – 22.67
6 – JK – 23.22
7 – Seven (tee hee) – 24.83
8 – StayDead – 1.04.00 (I don’t think he improved that)

First place is awarded ten points, second 9, third 8, and so on.

The pro way –

Watching the top players it appears the best course of action was to get wet and jam your stick to the right, bouncing from the straight edges underneath the water and Grunty’s fat arse.

How did you compare? Snap a picture of your vehicle and upload it to Banjo Kazooie.com and explain your thoughts!

Flush the Floater challenge winner.

Image

I tried a jet powered hovercraft but was unable to get my time below 24 secs. After a quick look at the leaderboard I went for the underwater option. The number 1 on the leaderboard is a huge and complex vehicle and I couldn't really be bothered with that. So I just strapped two large jets to some wheels and off I went.

There was a problem in that the vehicle is rather light and flipped if it hit the water at speed. If I didn't have to edge into the water because of this then I probably could have been a couple of seconds faster still.

This is what I used, the chameleon so she didn't attack, and the clockwork kaz to twat her some.

I don't have a picture, but my vehicle was effectively loads of floaters with a jet strapped to the back. Oh, and I had to put wheels on it because I didn't realise at first that the challenge starts on land. :fp:

I had the lightness problem if i used the air cushions so i did the same sort of thing as you but used floaters and snuck round the inside.

I kept bumping into Grunty as I went round. It's why I decided to go under in the end.

that was the only trouble I had. I did manage to sneak on the inside a couple of times but it was tricky.

It's a hell of a time for a floating vehicle. Some good driving there!

I went to the sky for my attempt.

There were many other interesting failures, such as an attempt to make a helicopter with Banjo hanging a mile below so I could rotate him through the checkpoints, and other waterbound approaches.

style isn't everything, you used a simple method to win and it's usually those ways that are the best

At first I took my old hovercraft and gutted it simply for speed, lightweight and turning ability. This got me 28 seconds or so. Grunty was getting in the way and water entry was tricky.

So I took an old fighter plane I had, gutted it for the same abilities and ended up with this. Banjo on the wing so he could get closest to the checkpoints if I was slightly out and only enough fuel to get me across the line on a perfect run. Main issues were turning being affected by wings hitting the water and also working out how fast to go in order to maximise speed and turning ability.

Great fun there. Annoyed that I didn't do so well in the TT. Mokey wasn't that high up when I was doing it last night. Was hoping to pick up points in the MP but a 4th, 4th, 6th, 1st won't improve my standings any.

Hope my DeLorean does me proud and places me in the top 3 this week.

All I can say is that I will not be surprised if my Delorean is last. (it's not brilliant in any stretch of the word)

That's because I didn't play it until this morning!

I came last in everything but the sumo in MP. So that makes up for it. :)

My golf cart got stuck under a piece of scenery and wouldn't come out. My car got flung across the level into the water during the race putting me a lap behind and the low gravity thing was just impossible - didn't finish a lap! :fp:

Not mine...

Good games tonight guys! Even if I was universally awful at them... That low gravity race one was terrible. :fp:
