Why didn't he just donate another 4k.

100,000 would have looked a far more impressive figure.

96 victims of hillsborough.

utd fans know that munich was a plane crash and Eric Bana didn't try to avenge the deaths, right?

Yes.

I don't get the criticism of the figure. Yes benitez just got a nice pay off but that isn't the point - it was a very generous and noble gesture. I've criticised him as much as anyone but he has shown some class with that gesture. i wish him well at Inter. Now he's no longer affiliated with the bin dippers! ;)

I don't really rate Benitez as a manager but he's clearly a gentleman. Fantastic gesture.

This. He's obviously the opposite of Zellery, Preezy and Saint of Killers.

 All I said was I was glad it wasn't a United fan who said that as it would have kicked things off.

Oh noes!

6+5 plan scrapped.

Great innit. When you lecture people on how to take a joke.. when it suits you, under your own terms.

Or were you being serious when you made that post about Liverpool fans singing 'you don't know what you're doing' to Benitez.

I didn't even make any comment about Benitez donating :fp:

As it happens, I think it was a very nice gesture, regardless of what his payoff was.

AND I am a gentleman 8-)

The three all knew what they were intending with their digs and attempted wind ups. I entered with a joke of my own and then all of a sudden, they go all defensive and serious.

I know the original is by David Bowie, but pretty sure this version (which was much slower) wasn't sung by him

I know there's a version on the Godzilla remake soundtrack :shifty:

Congrats to Blackpool.

strawberry float off mourinho.

Took me a while, but turns out it was Peter Gabriel.

Just playing a bit of Football Manager, and my £25m new summer signing Alexis Sanchez, in his first game back from a FOUR month lay-off with a torn calf muscle, gets the exact same injury after 7 minutes.

Total appearances for the season - 3. :fp: :fp:

That's pretty much why I stopped playing Football Manager.

I'd love to quit, but my addiction has completely taken hold. There's no hope of escape for me now
