Are ex-rental copies any different to retail copies? I purchased Dredd for £5 new at Grainger Games today and the disc is a rental copy, despite the packing saying otherwise. Might just take it back tomorrow anyway.

Probably all the "coming to you soon on rental" trailers?

What's with all the cheap-looking and uninteresting Blu-rays recently? I was hoping Wreck-It Ralph would be a 2-disc edition with at the very least a cardboard sleeve over the plastic case. But for £15 it was only the most basic type of Blu-ray going - a single disc and a flimsy case with no nice touches.

Only Game of Thrones has stood out lately as a nicely presented Blu-ray.

I'm sure that's probably breaking some kind of law.

Like selling Multipack crisps separately :shifty:

Blood Simple (Coen Brothers first film) has recently been rereleased as a director's cut. The old edition was from the early days of Dvds when they came in those see through plastic CD like cases, so been waiting for this for a long time.

Watching Ghostbusters 2 on Netflix and wondering why it hasn't had a Blu-ray release yet, it looks great!

Why bring out an extended edition that's only 13 minutes longer.

More strawberry floating money grubbing.

Don't get me wrong - i dont think it needs to be longer at all but if you're going to do it.

There's actually a serious chance i wont be getting this.

Do we know if the extended release will include the 48fps version or is that the standard frame-rate for the 3D version?

The 3D version was the best 3D I've seen on my TV but some scenes did look rather odd and the characters were rather jarringly popped out of an obvious but lovely green screen elven cityscape.

Pre-ordered Star Trek Villian Edition and I'll probably get the extended version of The Hobbit seeing as I've yet to buy the normal version anyway.

TV's - yes
Current Bluray players - not sure as they usually output 24fps max
