"Dark Knight" Blu-ray Details

Director Christopher Nolan has confirmed that on the Blu-ray release, the film will swap between a 2.40:1 aspect ratio for scenes shot on 35mm and full sized widescreen 1.78:1 for the IMAX scenes (IMAX is shot in 1.66:1 so a little bit of the top and bottom of the IMAX image will be lost).

The Blu-ray will also include a Gotham Uncovered documentary, featurettes, the Gotham Tonight cable news viral segments, galleries, trailers and TV spots. A limited edition set with Batpod will also be available.

If I had to guess, the GT stuff will probably be a BR exclusive.

Aren't those episodes available online?

Obviously not as good as having them on DVD, but at least no-one misses out on that content.

I see.

Well that's a kick in the teeth, especially if they are BR exclusives. :(

I notice play.com have this listed as a feature of the Blu-ray version of The Dark Knight:

Digital Copy of the Feature Film which is iTunes compatible

:o

Was this mentioned before?

Edit: A googles search tells me this is old news. Still, very cool.

I already have Vertigo but I'm so tempted by that, for the sexy new box art if anything else. Currently awaiting my Zodiac Directors cut in the mail too. Should be here tomorrow. :D
