That's a really good price for the whole series! They were trying to sell them for £70 a season when they first came out

Linky

This is the only version of the film that should ever be seen, the theatrical cut is torn to pieces and makes practically no sense. It's still a flawed movie, but it's beautifully made and has some wonderful moments. At this price it's a steal. Go buy.

:o

I paid £35 for this sucker last year, totally worth it though as it's a really good movie. :x

Yes you say once upon a time in America is gooseberry fool. Sarge epic fail!

Blade Runner look good on Blu-ray?

Stunning. Shows just how good the art direction is when it stands up, and indeed betters, a lot of today's sci-fi films in hi-def.

Yeah it's mean't to have very good picture quality. It's the remastered version of the film with the picture cleaned up and improved, but at that price (for a blu-ray) you can't lose.

How do people have Blu-Ray players and not own Blade Runner?

They scanned the original film in at a ridiculously high resolution to get the highest quality possible...you can tell. Its still, by far, the single best looking Blu-Ray movie available, its the gold standard for the format.

Every single person with a Blu-Ray player who doesn't have Final Cut, needs to order it right now.

The incredible Hulk.

Forgettig for a second that it's not a great film, this has to be the worst quality Blu Ray I have watched yet.

Literally, 5 mins into the film, I had to eject the disc and check I hadnt bought the DVD version by accident.

Admiedly I watched Wall-e the day before which looks fantastic, but this was just taking the piss.

Anybody else seen it and agree?

You sure you're set up right because I thought it looked really good! I actually like the film too so maybe it's just me..... After WALL-E though, not even Blade Runner will look as good!

What's the latest on Star Wars coming to Blu-ray?

I remember reading a few year back about how they cleaned and rescanned every frame for the DVD versions, no idea if they were recorded in HD or not though.

Anything released in the cinema on traditional film has a resolution far above HDTV.

Star Wars (the original trilogy) has already been shown in HD on ITV-HD. Very nice it looked too.

I guess it'll be released on Blu-ray whenever George needs some more money.

Surely though it's easily the worst film ever released on Blu Ray.

I'm over half way through and it's not too bad so far, it seems to place more emphasis on how it looks as opposed to whether the story is actually any good but when it does indeed look this good I'm not complaining.

That's another added to the list

I guess it's likely (sp?) Ghostbusters 2 will be Blu-Ray at a later date.
