What's with all the series 1 hate? It's not as good as the rest and may as well be a different show but it's entertaining enough.

It's not as good because Blackadder is a wimpy string of piss and Baldirck isn't a thicko
which is ironic as the unaired pilot as we know had him playing Blackadder as he is from season 2 onwards

I acknowledged that it wasn't as good. But it's not that bad either.

She's got a tongue like an electric eel and she likes the taste of a man's tonsils.

I've got a plan as hot as my PANTS

Flasheart: Well this isn't a worthwhile use of my time and resources but I'm gonna do it anyway.

Darling: What?

Flasheart: This!

It's £30 on Amazon, and I found it for that same price in HMV.

I bought it today (3 weeks ago). Didn't even bother with series 1. Not funny.

I got rather attached to series 1 while watching it, the final scenes of the finale really got to me. So sad. :(

I really like the music in this series. The cute little organ pieces in particular.

Mrs. Miggins: So, who are they electing when they have these elections?

Blackadder: Ah, the same old shower: fat Tory landowners who get made MPs when they reach a certain weight, raving revolutionaries who think that just because they do a day's work that somehow gives them the right to get paid... Basically, it's a right old mess. Toffs at the top, plebs at the bottom, and me in the middle making a fat pile of cash out of both of them.

I was lent the complete Blackadder collection on DVD by my headchef about 4 months ago. Having said I've never seen it before.
He claimed it was the funniest thing ever.

I've not yet started to watch it.. Am I a failtron for not watching it yet?
