I gave up on accumulators after the Arsenal-Spurs match last season. I was annoyed that Spurs got the late leveller but if i had known the rest of my 17 way accumulator had already came in I'd have jumped in the river on my home from the pub.

Because I knew it had failed before checking the full set of results it wasn't too bad because I had already accepted the loss. I knew if I had known as the equaliser went in what it was costing me I'd have been distraught though.

Sykes has the right idea with his bets by the way, odds are he is going to win his bet and be asble to increase his stake on next weeks matches and make profit that way. Pissing money on 100 to 1 shots makes very little sense to me. Any sort of a win no matter how small is a lot better than a loss.

What if you bet that you get raped on the way home and then you get raped?

From the last day (I think) of the season last year:

It still hurts to think about that. So close. :(

I think I'll start with the betting this year, as I have to fund my Uni somehow. :shifty:

Big accumulators are the way forward.

did 2 50p bets on the holland vs england match on wednesday

50p for holland to win 1st half , to draw 2nd half (50p) (14/1)
50p for england to win 1st half, to drawn 2nd half (50p) (14/1)

Won on the first choice, £7.50.

May start doing accumulators soon as well.

I was going to start a similar thread myself as I tend to bet rather frequently but small amounts. Mainly on Golf but most other sports too, but over the years tend to lose on football singles and accas so have hit them on the head to concentrate on the season long bets. Keep a record of every single bet I do too so know where I'm going right or wrong.

Biggest win? 125/1, Wen-Tan Ling in the golf earlier this season. Just £1 ew but a nice profit.

I'll keep popping in with my bets, hopefully we can all get some decent tips off each other.

I did a £1 accumulator just now

Chelsea to win
Man City to win
Blackburn to draw
Aston Villa to win
West Ham to win

If all my selections are correct I should win about £40. :P

I like a quick bet. Prefer to bet on F1, though, as there are better stats available (and, let's face it, F1 sometimes needs livening up).

A bit over £300 I think. Can't remember exactly how much. Tried blocking it out.

At the moment, my main accy is:

Chelsea (already won)
Aston Villa (losing)
Sunderland (winning)
Charlton (winning)
Millwall (currently 0-0 with Carlisle)
Crewe (winning)
Notts County (winning)

A quid outlay on them could win £137.30 if it all works out right.
