I'm voting for Sean Connery but the only one I didn't really like was Roger Moore.

Roger Moore was the suavist
Timothy Dalton was the hardest
Pierce Brosnan was a jack of all master of none
Daniel Craig certainly has the physical side down but im not sure about the rest (hes good though)
George Lazenby - hard to tell really given he only had 1 shot at it. I never liked that film either. I felt they betrayed the character by having him get married.

Sean Connory was the most rounded. He was believable when smooth talking the ladies but also when going toe to toe with henchmen. Besides he was the first on the big screen and pretty much the first image i think of when someone says James Bond.

Was Timothy Dalton really the hardest? That's interesting. I assumed from his name that he was a bit of a pansy.

Nah, Dalton is hard as nails as Bond.

I disagree Daniel Craig is the closest actor to the books. Craig seems to take an enjoyment in his killing, and yet the literary Bond actually regrets killing and even goes as far as disarming an assassin instead of killing them in one of the books (I forget which)

I dont like Craig personally. Jason Isaacs was the only choice and they blew it.

Tell me he wasnt born for the damn role?

If I was older, I' probably say Connery.

But I strawberry floating loved Casino Royale, so Craig gets it.

Having just watched CR and QoS I can say that Daniel Craig is easily my favourite Bond. I can understand perfectly though why so many people would pick Connery as the best one. He's just so damn suave, that guy.

And he's starred in more than one good Bond film and a distinctly average one.
